When I open Firefox " esurfbiz " tries to control my browser.

Được đăng

I have Windows 10. I have a current subscription to McAfee through Time Warner Cable and I downloaded "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware" I don't stray from Yahoo, Outlook,Aol and a few shopping websites. I did however download "My Turbo PC" to try to solve my browser freezing but I didn't buy the unlock key. My "spyware" "malware" or "virus" problem didn't start until "My Turbo PC".

Can anyone please help me get the unwanted program off of my computer please?

Thank you.

Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;

  • Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
  • Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see

Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}

Check the programs that are on your computer

Windows: Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. Linux: Check your user manual.

Sort by the date installed. Go thru the list. If you find something that you don't know what it is, use a web search.

Separate Issue; Your System Details shows;

Installed Plug-ins

Shockwave Flash 20.0 r0 Shockwave Flash 19.0 r0
Having more than one version of a program may cause issues. You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.

Flash: Grab the uninstaller from here: Uninstall Flash Player | Windows Uninstall Flash Player | Mac

Then reinstall the latest version.

Flash Player Version 20.0.0.286

Note: Windows users should download the ‘’’active_x’’’ for “Internet Explorer,” and the ‘’’plugin’’’ for “Plugin-based browsers” (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the ’’’plugin’’’ only. Not the ’’’active_x’’’.

Adobe still offers Flash 18.0.0.326 as its extended support release further down

This didn't solve my problem. I had already went to the add and remove" uninstall programs" and uninstalled the MOST current (3) programs that showed up just as I started having this problem. I followed your I followed your instructions concerning the "uninstaller" and I followed the link to download version "20".

I still get different "malware" spyware" or " the virus" when I start my browser. It varies which name it gives. " terraclicks" " esurfbiz"

My McAfee antivirus doesn't detect it. Malwarebytes doesn't detect it. It's like the one time that I step off of the "internet" path and try to help myself and my computer and I get hijacked.

Do you have anymore ideas for me please and thank you.

I have Googled this problem and tried to help myself but this is what I got.

You may have ad / mal-ware. Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.

First thing to do is to get rid of that My Turbo PC - a known piece of Malware.

Chances are you have multiple "infections" that may have existed unbeknownst to you, even prior to installing the My Turbo PC application / malware.

See this How do I get rid of malware? section of the KB article that Fred hyperlinked above. And make sure that you run all the recommended "scanners". It may take more than one to get everything.

Good news and not so good news !! I am pretty sure that " the-edmeister"s idea worked. I clicked on the " how dod I get rid of malware" link and followed each step that was suggested and it seems to have cleared up my browser hijacking. It operated great over night. Now I have a different problem. Since then my "firefox" browser stops responding and when it does finally let me type something, the address bar doesn't work. And since the address bar quit working as well, now each time I even OPEN the browser it never loads, it just sits there saying " NOT RESPONDING"

I uninstalled Firefox and re installed it and it doesn't load at all. It just says "Not Responding"

So to re cap. the demister helped me get rid of the ad/spyware but during that process my firefox browser quit working all together.

"not responding" and "address bar doesn't work" ( when it does load)

Thank you.

Did you use other mal-scanners?

Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link} Save the file. Then;

Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.

Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86) Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. Linux: Check your user manual.

Look for, and rename any Mozilla or Firefox folders by adding .old to them.

After rebooting the computer, run a registry scanner. Then run the installer. If all goes well, remove the OLD folders when you are done.

Everything, knock on wood, that you guys suggested have cleared up my browser hijacking problem. I think that it was truly all the ad/spy ware programs that edmeister suggested. Problem I believe is solved on that.

THANK YOU BOTH.

Now, do you guys have any tips for me? My browser is slow as hell and freezes for seconds upon seconds at a time until I have to cont+alt+delete and "end task" I am getting so many " ADCHOICES" on my yahoo, aol, etc... that I think all the ad ware MAY be slowing me down. I just don't know.

I used to have an add on or extension called ad block plus and it seemed to do pretty well. But since I uninstalled firefox and re installed it I haven't got ad block added yet. Any ideas on how to get rid of that crap as well.

Thank you again.
