Are the settins changed when you change then, but change back when you restart Firefox?

I'm not a software specialist but there something I don't understand. Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. That's exactly what I want. I don't want any changes to my Firefox setup. I's happend only when Firefox itself force the extra tabs as describe above. Thanks for feedback.

That software can prevent you from fixing your problems, too. As long as you are careful when installing programs on your PC, making sure you don't install "free garbage" that might contain Malware, you shouldn't need stuff like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection to protect you. Common sense vs an application that need to learn to use to effectively and not create more problems for yourself. Anything that portends to be "free" should be investigated thoroughly before you install it. Overall, ask yourself why it's "free" and how can they offer it for free? Other than open source software, "there ain't no free ride".

Look, three tabs opening on start-up of Firefox isn't necessarily a "Privacy" issue. Have you tried resetting your Homepage? See - How to set the home page Try using Restore to Default in Preferences > General

Then see if the default homepage stays unchanged after restarting Firefox.
