Can't start Firefox 41.0.1 (get the crash report dialog) Crash Reason: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_EXEC I Can start in safe mode. (plugin page says Norton Tool Bar not compatible with this version of FF) I completely uninstalled Firefox and all directories associated with it. cleaned the registry and tried again.
I think the Norton extension is causing the problem, but don't know how to remove it. (there is no remove button)
Thanks

That looks like a problem with the graphics display driver.
- Firefox 41.0.1 Crash Report [@ RtlpAllocateHeap | CContext::RestorePipelineStateImpl<T>(SAPIPipelineState*) ]
You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.
You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration related issues.
