When I try [Shift [Click]] to extend the current selection in a table, the behaviour is different in a read-only and in editable table. A read-only table makes a contiguous text selection whereas an editable table selects a rectangular range of cells, each of the cells is in a separate selection range or something. I can make a text selection using [Click [Drag]] but that is not viable for large tables because the visible area scrolls faster than you can read. Is there a way to make an ordinary contiguous selection without dragging?
