Paypal buttons no longer work after upgrading to Windows 10
I've recently upgraded to Windows 10, but have still set my default browser to Firefox 39.0. Since then, I've discovered some really weird things going on.
The most troubling issue is with PayPal buttons. I've been maintaining a few websites and, although I've made no changes to the PayPal coding, the button doesn't show up on pages when I view them in Firefox. I can see them in Chrome or MS Edge just fine.
Here is a page from one of the sites in question.: http://projectsister.org/ This is a site created in WordPress. On the right sidebar, there should be a "Donate" button. However, when I view it in Firefox, I see only the PayPal slogan ("PayPal - The safer, easier way to pay online!")
Here is another example of a site that was created using Dreamweaver.: http://www.villagekitchenshoppe.com/take_a_break_class.html
So, as you may see, both of these sites have the same issue and they're not even related.
Has anyone seen this yet? Is there a solution that I don't know about? Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Firefox may display the "Alt" text for an image if the image doesn't load. The Alt text for the orange Paypal buttons is indeed "PayPal - The safer, easier way to pay online!" But why don't those buttons load.
What if you try to access them directly? Either right-click > View Image, or you could try these links:

(Note: mine include the language code en_US which probably varies from country to country.)
Many Windows 10 users have been posting about issues accessing secure sites (HTTPS addresses). If you get certificate errors, are they on most HTTPS sites or only on a few?
Problems on numerous HTTPS sites can be caused by Firefox not being fully set up to work with your security software. Do you use Avast, ESET, Kaspersky, BitDefender, or another program that intercepts your browsing for filtering?
Problems on a smaller number of sites could be caused by other factors, either individual to the site or resulting from content filtering (e.g., parental controls).

I tried to view the image and I'm met with a "Secure Connection Failed" page. This occurred for both websites, so you are definitely on to something.
I'm using Avast and it does intercept browsing. I just disabled the shields and, what do you know! The buttons show up and are functioning! (I've now reset my shields. I'm not that foolhardy...)

Just a quick followup - I simply went into Avast settings and disabled "Enable HTPPS Scanning". Now all seems to be good.

Was Firefox working normally with Avast before the Windows 10 update? If so, something must be just a little different after the update.
Yes. Firefox was working normally before the update. It has to do with something related to the Windows 10.
