Hotmail (outlook.com) loads very slowly; not so with other browser
When I sign into my Hotmail account (outlook.com), the messages load very slowly -- 10 to 20 seconds. This began only in the past 2 months; I've had Hotmail for over a decade, so the problem is new and atypical of my prior experience. Loading is not a problem with another browser -- Google Chrome; therefore, it appears that Firefox might be responsible for the slowness. Note: Internet Explorer is problematic on my PC, so I can't test the loading rate using IE. Thanks for your help.

I'm just curious: in what way is Internet Explorer problematic. I'm asking because some IE issues tend to carry over to other browsers.
Your issue could be caused because an addon or plugin that you have installed on your browser is causing a conflict. Try running Firefox in Safe Mode to see if the slowness goes away. Safe Mode is a diagnostic mode that will disable your addons and plugins and run Firefox as if was "fresh out of the box". For more information on Safe Mode, please view this Mozilla help article.
Thanks for replying. It appears that the problem (the extra-slow loading of Hotmail) may have been caused by a Windows defect. After one of those periodic Windows updates last week, Hotmail began to load quickly, much as it used to before the problem surfaced a couple months ago.
