Impossibly slow on Facebook and now won't open Godaddy

Firefox has always been incompatible with Facebook (greys out whenever you try and interact on anything, thirty second wait for cursor to become active in a comment box, utter refusal to open links, etc), but is even worse since the latest update. And now totally hangs if I try and open www.godaddy.com. Restart and try again (to reduce memory usage, even though I have 16Gb and it's nowhere near maxed out), same thing. Can't even get to the Godaddy site. I think FF objects to Javascript maybe? It's becoming entirely useless. If there was ANYTHING else that would let me keep my tabs, remember my preferences and work reliably with Roboform I would be gone. But unfortunately I am stuck with this piece of crap browser.

WTF can I do to make the sodding thing work properly? After literally years of frustration with this piece of crap I am close to putting it through a window.
