After opening Firefox Hello, the small app window appears in the lower righthand side of the screen, but my pc then freezes. Mouse won't work. CtrlAltDel won't work. Nothing. Nada. Can anyone tell me why?

No, but I would be happy to help investigate this: Currently there is a place to leave feedback for the experience with the product, but there are some potential troubleshooting features that are hidden.

  1. Are there permissions set for viewing video on the site? Do you have a Firewall or Antivirus that blocks calls?
  2. In order to investigate if something went wrong we will need to collect more information: Open up about:webrtc in the url, start a conversation with a new link. Click on "start debug mode" and "start AEC logging" try to connect in the url, wait for the error then click on connection log. Use pastebin.mozilla.org to share the logs.

I wouldn't be able to start a debug mode or an AEC logging even if I wanted to. I can't even use keyboard commands. Totally locked up.

Everything seems to work just fine with this method. But I would hate to have to disable the camera each time I wanted to start a Hello conversation. I checked for a driver update for the camera, but there isn't one. There is nothing blocking video in firewall or antivirus. Strange ...

That is strange however if there are any warnings that the app is requesting permission to use the Microphone I would be interested to investigate if Firefox has the permission to access: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/wi.../832f2758-03e2-4c2b-98ea-f73bfa6fb9c9
