hi BlessingJoyfull, i have seen similar error messages by a couple of other xp users after they updated to firefox 36. mozilla's engineers are interested in looking into that matter but would need further information.

  1. first, please downgrade back to firefox 35, which you can obtain and install from ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/35.0.1/win32/en-US/Firefox%20Setup%2035.0.1.exe
  2. you'd then need to produce a crash report - this will give the developers more information about your system environment. please download the following extension file: http://crashme.googlecode.com/files/crashme.xpi
  3. open firefox 35.0.1 and go to the menu ≡ > addons, click on the gear icon on the top right of the addons manager, go to the "install addon from file" entry and navigate to the crashme.xpi file you have just downloaded in the step before to install it.
  4. then go to extensions and click the options button next to the "Crash Me Now!" addon - there you will find another "Crash me!" button - please hit that, which will crash the browser and bring up a crash reporter window. in there make sure that you select "tell mozilla about this crash..." and click on "restart firefox".
  5. finally after the browser is up again, type "about:crashes" into the location bar, copy the link of the latest crash report that you have just generated (it's a long string starting with bp) and please report back with this crucial piece of information here in the forum.

thank you for your help!

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

@philipp

So glad that finally you came up with a perfect solution, last night i'm trying to download some antivirus that cor-el tell me. But i have to use Torch Browser, which almost block every website due to Net error certificate. And i almost gave up and prepare to pack my cpu and bring to local shop for hard restart windows :D

Did you ever do a Windows System Restore that might be causing this error?

  • Bug 1023941 - Support building firefox.exe and mozglue.dll with a static CRT and everything else with a dynamic CRT

i did the windows restore point, before i came to this forum. i did all effort that i can thought of, such as: restore windows, remove all mozilla firefox folder, reinstall the new one, update all drivers and plug in, created a new login user in windows, checking+update my clock desktop, even i try to download the kernel32.dll file and register it using regserv command prompt. i even think of reinstalling new windows or upgrading it to windows7 or 8.

anyway, thats a finish story now. so glad i have my Firefox working again. IMHO, i grew up with Firefox, and this is the BEST browser which fit me best.

so is there anything that i can help to help firefox working better, and prevent other get the same trouble like me, just let me know :)
