I noticed that often when I open up some site, there's a Cyrillic letter "в" is placed before the name of that site. It is there only for a minute or two and then disappears. What is it? I can't find any relevant information on the Internet. But it doesn't sound like something good. Can anyone help me?

Maybe also do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.
