Flash was updated on 12/4. Worked until disabled today approx an hour ago
There is no new update since 12/4. How do I view videos in the meantime?

Use the Flash uninstaller and then reinstall Flash, so that there is only one Plugin listed. Adobe doesn't clean up after itself too well.

hello, adobe has released a critical patch for a vulnerability in its flash plugin, which is reportedly already exploited in the wild. therefore firefox will block insecure versions from running by default on websites for your protection. https://helpx.adobe.com/security/products/flash-player/apsb14-27.html https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/blocked/p794
please update to Adobe Flash Player version 16.0.0.235 as soon as possible, which you can download from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html (use the windows-exe for plugin-based browsers).
Thank you. Initial installation did not work. Went to Plug-ins to disable the bad one and then tried reinstall. Worked the second time.
OK. A bit hasty here. I can view YouTube videos directly again. However, when I view videos embedded in Facebook posts and some news sites, the resulting message says the plugin is disabled or the videos will not load.
In the plugin list, I see the bad (disabled) plugin still listed but do not see the older version that was reinstalled. Is there any way to remove the disabled plugin from the list?

Thanks for the tip. Worked. Back to normal for a while.
Flash Player version 16.0.0.235 is being blocked now. Does that mean there is a safer version to upgrade to now?
adobe has released a critical patch to mitigate yet another vulnerability in its flash plugin: https://helpx.adobe.com/security/products/flash-player/apsb15-03.html in order to update Adobe Flash Player version to 16.0.0.296, you can download the setup from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html again...
Thank you, Phillipp.
OK. Back again. i updated to 16.0.0.296 on January 29 and was able to view videos again. Today, I can't. Version 16.0.0.296 is now blocked. Any solution on the horizon?
a new version is available again, after yet another security vulnerability has been found in the plugin. the place to download/update flash has stayed the same: https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html
Thank you. Working again. Is the link you gave me the same to check for future updates, or is it a different link each time (and I need to inquire each time)?
Hopefully future versions will be available from that same page.
I really wish Adobe would get their "stuff" together - 4 security updates this year already! And we're only 5 weeks into the new year.
