In your last 5 crash reports, atidxx32.dll is flagged each time - ATI driver. Try disabling hardware acceleration to see if that stops the crashing. You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).

Then perform these steps:

1. Click the menu button and select Options.
2. In the Firefox Options (or Preferences) window, click the Advanced tab, then select General.
3. In the settings list, you should find the Use hardware acceleration when available checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
4. Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

Disabling hardware accelration did not help for me. My graphics driver is up-to-date and I even tried unintalling it and doing a clean install to make sure it was correctly put in and it still didn't help. (also there were no error on the install either, so it is correctly installed)

Disabling my theme and doing each of my addons one by one did not help, and according to the update checker for Firefox, there are 2 plugins that are not up to date (quicktime and VLC) but I have them disabled and also when I do try to update them they say I have the latest version.

Also note that this does not happen when going to any particular sites, it just does it entirely randomly. I could even have Firefox idle for several minutes and I will be away from the computer and it will still crash while I'm away.

Clean reinstall of firefox did not fix the problem either, ran quite a few different scans and didn't find any malware either.

Looking at all of the recent crash reports, it is still the same thing being flagged, (atidxx32.dll) but trying to google search any possible fixes and still haven't found anything that I haven't tried.

Somehow safe mode seems to be preventing any crashes, but I can't identify what addon is doing it. I have tried having them all disabled and activate just one and it still crashes regardless of which one I enable.

What happens if you create a new profile and install those extensions one at a time? Please see the Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles. If that stops the crashing, see the article Recovering important data from an old profile - but be careful what you copy over as you might copy data that is causing the crashes.

I will ask for more help and see if another contributor can offer any other help.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

Firefox Safe Mode disables the JavaScript JIT compiler (called the Baseline Compiler starting in Firefox 23). If no crashes occur in Firefox Safe Mode but Firefox still crashes after disabling all extensions and turning off hardware acceleration (or if your crash reports show a JIT crash such as EnterBaseline or EnterMethodJIT in the signature), disable the JIT compiler by setting the javascript.options.baselinejit preference(s) to false in about:config.

1. In the Location bar (address bar), type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
2. Click I'll be careful, I promise! to continue to the about:config page.
3. Find the preference javascript.options.baselinejit
4. Doubleclick on it to toggle the setting to false

hello, due to the wide range of error signatures, i would speculate that your hardware might be involved in the issue. can you test the integrity of your RAM with a tool like www.memtest.org?

AliceWyman - That half-worked. It didn't 100% solve the problem, but the crashes are FAR less frequent now after doing that. So thank you very much there.

philipp - I have done so prior to reporting this problem, and also just today while I was at work too. (Though I couldn't do it with as many passes that time as opposed when I did it before reporting this.) Both times reported no errors

You can also do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
