The bookmarks and bookmark folders on my bookmark toolbar are duplicating over and over. How do I stop this and get rid of dups?
The bookmarks/folders on my bookmark toolbar duplicate for no reason. I do not know how to stop this from happening. I made sure that I bookmark syncing was not checked. I have tried Mozilla add-ons, but none have worked. I need to know what steps to take to fix this.

If you use Sync then disconnect temporarily to fix this issue with the places.sqlite file.
Check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.
