please help me turn off the swipe to the side= delete gesture. fingers are not stable , so I keep deleting tabs I saved in a collection, with no way to retrieve it unless I go through my history very tediously.

this is an accessibility issue. otherwise collections are useless to someone little me.

On Nightly build 2016088551, I was given a pop-up to lock tabs in Private mode. I do not like this change, so I tried looking in settings to turn this off. I did not find the option to turn this off. How do I do so?

Hi, I am using Firefox Nightly. It keeps prompting me to lock my private tabs, I accidentally clicked it and now I need password/biometrics everytime to view my private tabs. How do I disable the lock? I cannot find it in settings/private browsing.

Hi. I have switched over from Google. It would be extremely helpful if an option for tabbing groups, such as what Google has, was made available for Firefox Android. I know there are extensions but I have not found a single one that either works properly or works at all on Android. Thanks.

I've just about given up using this browser as it's become less and less user friendly. I have spent a couple of hours searching the forums and online to find a way to BLOCK webpages from refreshing/reloading in Firefox for Android. Facebook etc.. I've searched geckoview and there is NO option for blocking this feature. the accessibility.blockautorefresh no longer exists and re-entering it does nothing. I've disabled every option possible and it doesn't do it. Battery consumption etc. There are no current extensions add-ons that work. I assume this was done to make the browser more favorable for site monetization but Firefox wasn't supposed to be geared towards that.

If anyone knows of a way to do this please please let me know. Otherwise I'm -><- away from deleting this app and just using Brave.

The browser always refreshes the website page by itself, opening the page and switching the browser to the backend or foreground but resting the screen for a while will force the page to refresh, and data that has been entered but not submitted is lost.

At first I thought it was a wrong setting or a problem with the extension. After I reinstalled it, it still occurs, and it happens with all versions (nightly version, iceraven and waterfox as well).

Looking into the information I thought it was the WebSocket live link that would automatically disconnect to save power, and network fluctuations as well. Disconnecting switches to the connection prompt screen, which looks like a refresh. Maybe my guess is wrong.

I currently mitigated this by modifying the "media.aboutwebrtc.auto_refresh.peerconnection_section" function to false to alleviate this, but it still forces the page to refresh.

How do i stop firefox from opening a new tab everytime i open Firefox? I just want one tab unless i choose to open something in a new tab. Everyday i end up with like 30 tabs and it's slowing my phone down.

One way you could help is making a option to split screen two different windows in the same screen simultaneously, that way we can multitask and be more efficient.

I'm having a problem often, after a search, when I navigate to a result. Within a few seconds, there's a slight delay for processing and I will be back on my page of search results. It just seems like this is happening pretty often all of a sudden.

It seems like there's some reason it wasn't done with the previous page, and it's reloading? It could be a Google script gone awry, for all I know.

Maybe this would be a bug report, but I can't rule out a settings change or accidental touch inputs that cause my browsing problems. This aging phone's speed may be giving it difficulty processing touch input. Maybe the digitizer is being weird and interpreting a touch on the back button. Let me know what you think.

I've been holding on to about 50 inactive tabs for quite awhile now, a couple of them for more than a year. No problems until just a few minutes ago most of them vanished without warning. All at once. What made them disappear, and can I get them back?

Hello everyone, I don't know where it comes from (my screen or moz update), but I have a problem I didn't have before. When I open the tabs menu, the option to close a tab by sliding it laterally is way too sensitive. When I slide vertically to navigate, I very often close one of my tabs. Very annoying. I checked in the parameters if there was an option to deactivate that (Especially that there are crosses on each tabs to close them. The lateral sliding is pretty useless). Is there an option in about/config to deactivate that parameter please ? Thanks in advance.

i really need to PERMANENTLY DISABLE the infernal, default auto-refresh session on return to already opened tab. tyranny of the default on Android.

if/when i want to refresh that session, i'll do so MANUALLY.

i want this, not only in alpha, but beta & standard, too. so, it just can't be buried in about:config, which is nanny-state removed from standard. it must be exposed in UI Settings.

i'm not the first or only to request this.

Hello, I've been having issues with the Firefox app on my Android ever since the most recent update on 4th of July. Whenever I tap the "tabs" button, the tabs viewer opens as always, but if I try to scroll and browse the tab, or if I try to close any of the visible tabs, the whole app crashes. Because of that, I can only switch between tabs by swiping, but it can be annoying if you're used to using many tabs like myself. I have cleared my cache multiple times and it didn't help. I am not too tech-savvy but is there any way to fix it? Thank you!
