Are you aware if there is any reason why firefox seems not to work with https://mycambridge.sso.cambridge.org/ in combination with the google authenticator app. I'd be most grateful for advice, as a longtime firefox devotee, who has to remember to use an alternative browser for this particular combination. Sync with Two-Step Authentication protected Google account failed

I discovered that I cannot sync with my google account protected from 2FA.

In detail:

  1. Numbered list item showing something went wrong page when I am trying to login from (about:preferences#sync);
  2. Numbered list item Login successful with another account not protected by 2FA

Note that:

  1. Numbered list item cookie allowed;
  2. Numbered list item using newest version;
  3. Numbered list item protection set to standard;
  4. Numbered list item tried to reinstall firefox

but none of them are successful.

I have also confirm that:

  1. Numbered list item the account is able to sign in from other platform from mozilla(it's the account I'm using now)
  2. Numbered list item there's no (significant) error logged from the F12 console

I've always had some issue where i have two mozilla authenicators on my phone , so i decided to remove it and redo it so i can delete those two and put one in . I didn't think this would be a issue , but when i attempt to set it up , it gives me a backup code , i put it in when it asks me to and then it says its incorrect . It makes me quite confused as it continues to give me a new code but its always deemed wrong when i copy and paste it .

Hello, On March 1, I worked with the Mozilla help team to create a recovery key. Now that I need it, it says it is an MS Dos executable file, and that I can't run that file on my computer. I have tried a few workarounds from google, but really I just need my recovery key. I thought maybe this was because wordpress is no longer available on Windows PCs but I can't open it in word either, it just keeps saying it's an MS Dos executable file.

I really need the recovery key because I can't access anything on one of my computers. Can you assist?

My name is Ayah, and I’m having trouble accessing my Roblox account. After I accidentally clicked on a suspicious link, I was logged out and now I’m being asked for a two-factor authentication (2FA) code that I don’t recognize or have access to.

I believe my account may have been compromised, and I no longer have control over the 2FA settings. This account is very important to me, and I would really appreciate your help in recovering it as soon as possible.

Could you please help me disable the unauthorized 2FA or restore my account?

the MyChart app has changed, and I'd like to setup a passkey, but I don't know how. Do I do it on Firefox? Can I use the same key everywhere a passkey is asked for.

I use a PIN on Microsoft 365, which seems like a passkey.

Amazon keeps asking for a passkey to authenticate, and it says it's from Firefox. I just close w/o entering anything.

PS. I'm 77 with mild-moderate tech knowledge. New stuff is hard. Any help you can give will help me.

Dear Supprot, I keep getting an alert when logging into some of my websites with a box security use key, its becoming very annoying indeed! I tried all my PW keys nothing is working. I just want this gone cause it is very troubling I don't remember even setting it up. It is a big pain! Request comes from Firefox Mozilla use security key/touch your key. I really want to eliminate this method since I have a new and different one to use..

Whenever I log into QuickBooks Online, I get two popup messages about Firefox/Mozilla wanting me to set up a passkey in Hello Windows. I do not want to do this and cannot figure out how to make it stop asking me. I already have MFA on QBO. This just slows down the login process.

I never received a confirmation code to sync with my other computer. I've tried to followed all the instruction per request, still no avi.

I've followed below instruciton from your team:


   Search your inbox for emails from accounts@firefox.com with the subject line "Confirm your account". Be sure to also check Spam/Junk folders.
   Add accounts@firefox.com to your whitelist/address book. After that you, will need to trigger another confirmation email by trying to sign into your account again.
   Check that you’re using the correct email address. Very often the email you’re trying to sign in with is not the email the account was created with.
   If you're using an email application to check your inbox, try using your email provider's website instead, or vice-versa.
   Disable any VPN or special DNS configuration when attempting to sign into your account
