Firefox recently had an update, and now when I am uploading files, I can't double click to upload selected files. I have to first select the file, and then click the open button.

Before the latest Firefox update, I could simply double click on files to upload. This workflow was much faster.

If I go to about:config, and search for: widget.use-xdg-desktop-portal.file-picker, I can change the value from 0 to 2, and then I can upload files by double clicking. However, then Firefox forgets my last upload location, and always opens in the home folder.

If I set it back to 0, it remembers my last upload location, but I can't double click to open files.

My current Firefox version is 152.0.1. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi all, I've been experiencing an issue with the file picker. I'm not sure why, but when a website says "click to upload" and I click it, nothing happens, although drag and drop still works. Also, I can't download anything as when I click "save as" nothing happens? I'm using arch linux and bspwm window manager if that helps. Any help is much appreciated :D

My current version of Firefox is 149.0 (64 bit) Mozilla Firefox for Arch Linux Arch Linux - 1.0 I am running this on two computers, a laptop and a desktop, both running Arch Linux, currently at 6.19.10. I use the laptop much more, and recently noticed that I cannot upload or download files with Firefox. No file selection window opens and the request is simply ignored. Nothing appears in my Downloads folder. Meanwhile, I also noticed that this function works just fine on the desktop computer. I don't remember making any settings changes. I do have popups generally disabled but can enable them for certain sites. In any case, I have tried enabling popups and redirects completely with no change. I figure there must be something different about the settings on these two Firefox installations, but what? What can you tell me? Or ask me? Thanks.

is it possible to get a button or a shortcut to toggle the option full-screen-api.ignore-widgets without using about:config? An addon is not possible I guess because it is an internal option addons shouldn't have access to this.

Since I have been able to proceed and complete job applications to Indeed/Glassdoor in other browsers, I have to assume there is a setting somewhere in Firefox that is preventing me from completing these tasks. I would like some ideas, theories, and instructions to correct this problem sent to my email, [edited email from community support forum]. I have included some images of what I am getting. In some cases, I just get a spinning circle. In other cases, the screen goes "grey" and won't proceed. In the third example I have provided, the screen does nothing. Clicking the "Continue" button simply does nothing. It is as if the button has been rendered inactive. Thank you for your assistance.

I want to move my whole folder and to backup and move it to a new PC. But it says when moving a file called activity-stream.discovery_stream I need a permission from myself.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED, BUT I THINK SINCE 151 THE CC ON YOUTUBE NO LONGER RENDERS CORRECTLY. THE FONT WILL NOT SHOW UP WHITE NO MATTER HOW YOU TOGGLE AND ADJUST THE SETTINGS ON YOUTUBE. THE STOCK SETTINGS WILL SHOW GREY FONTS MAKING IT VERY HARD FOR CC USERS TO READ.

CHROME DOESN'T HAVE THIS PROBLEM AND THE FONTS SHOW PROPERLY WHITE.

For some reason firefox uninstalled on my computer, I genuinely do not know why. When reinstalling it, I have an old save from my backup of that morning (I have it setup that way). However, I do not remember this password whatsoever and I am freaking out a little bit since I have information on there and I am just trying to get it restored onto my account.

Any help would be appreciated.

I need to update my email but to do so I am asked to write a code sent to the old email. that email is not longer existing so I cannot update nor change my email any help or suggestions? I am stuck in the login loop thank you

Firefox version: Latest version on Mac. MacOS: Latest version. Issues: After a certain date, I did not know what happened. After that date, I was unable to drag the local files to my Synology Nas via its "Quickconnect" service in Firefox. I made several attemps trying to have this issue solved but in vain. Eventually I had to switch back to Chrome. By the way, I am able to log into Quickconnect in Firefox and delete files.
