Hi

I understand that security is important, but it it is MY account, MY data, MY responsibility.

When you install FireFox on a new device, then you cannot sign in to your account without entering a confirmation code - that is 'crazy'!!

Why is it crazy, well, first of all FireFox / Mozilla know that it's a new device, so how do they suggest that I get to my email on a new device ??

It's the same as asking for a security code when you setup your email - How do you see that I can get my code when setting up the mail app ??

Imagine - god forbid - that you were to loose your phone and computer, you then got a brand new computer - even with a recovery email address, you can still not log in because the recovery email address also requires a confirmation code on a new device!

On my Mozilla account I have turned of 2FA, so why do I need a confirmation code ?

As mentioned, I understand that security is important, so please do not use that argument.

So whenever I visit a website, or websites, they get added up with my shortcuts on the homepage which gets really annoying because I have to manually dismiss them everytime. for instance, I've marked them with the green circles in the picture attached here. how do i stop them from appearing here?

Try connecting on a different device. Check your modem or router. Disconnect and reconnect to Wi-Fi.

Some users are abandoning Firefox because of the difficulty of protecting against Firefox fingerprinting. Therefore, I strongly recommend adding an option in the settings that allows the digital fingerprints to be made random, or at least, if it is difficult, to make the fingerprints indistinguishable. Having forgotten the last few figures of my primary password, I am stunned to find that you offer no way to reclaim or rest it without losing all of my saved sites and passwords.

Please remove and do not add any AI/ML features to Firefox, it's the only mainstream browser of this kind left, i was planning on buying some merch but I don't think this company deserves my money if it tries to make cash off me in an insidious way either way

An aggressive website can cause "isolated web co" processes to be started. When they hog all processors and memory, the computer besomes unresponsive. Keyboard and mouse freezes up.

Is there a way to limit firefox processes to n-1 processors, leaving 1 processor available for me to kill it ?

I have a Ruby on Rails app and whenever I click on a button in it that submits a POST request, instead of redirecting back, it sends me to a GET of the POST request. For example I am at /a, I make a POST request to /a/b, instead of redirecting back to /a, it sends me to /a/b which returns a 404 as there is only a POST defined at this route. I have tested this same site in Chromium and the redirects work properly, returning me back to /a

I have vertical tabs enabled and the "expand when hovering mouse" option is activated (see screenshot). However, the latter functionality tends to glitch at some point in basically every session. I can't tell if a specific action triggers it, so far it seems pretty random. The glitch is that either the tabs are expanded and won't collapse, or the opposite: they're collapsed and refuse to expand when I point at them. Is this feature maybe still experimental? or something? I'm running Firefox 149.0b5 DEveloper Edition on Garuda Linux (Arch based).
