Hello,

I've recently uploaded a custom-made extension to the Chrome Web Store for my personal use and for a few specific users. It's currently awaiting review.

However, I'm encountering an issue where I cannot download and use the extension myself. When attempting to download, I receive the message "Download failed. Please check your connection."

Although I can see the extension listed on the store (since it's mine), I'm unable to use it personally.

Could you please assist me with resolving this issue?

I use the global search a lot (when it works!) I don't like the way the results are displayed so I always click 'show results as list'. Is there a way to make that the default way search results are displayed? thanks

I found my old password Firefox recovery key after I already changed my password and got a new recovery key. Can I use my old recovery key to get back all the things (eg bookmarks) that may have gone missing with the switch to a new password?

when I search for Quicktext Tutorials i see a nicely working application which allows me to manage text components and include them neatly in my writing. But what is actually showing after installation is a bit meager.

I can choose between "variables" and "other". ""Variables" is of no use at all, Other" simly allowes me to include a saved file in text or html from a folder. Well, thats a bit stoneage like, but I would have worked with that option, but:

Unfortunately, there is no way that Quicktext will save textsnippets as html or text. I definitely do not see myself copying parts of emails into notepad and saving them manually. That would be a very lame automation and definitely not quick enough ;). Also I am looking for the sort of "preview" Outlook is offering with Quick Parts.

Does anyone know anything about this problem or can recommend a better addon? I hate writing the same stuff again and again and again.

So does anyone know of or can recommend a translator Addon that works like what is implemented in Chrome that can translate on-the-fly? If not exactly but can do close to what Chrome can do?

Hello, ive been using T'Bird as my business email client.

Whenever I hit send it requires me to type the password in. How can i get it to remember it? Ive been through the settings and there is no option to save.

Ive tried deleting my account and adding a new one but its no different.

Before Firefox used to keep private tabs 'open and available' till you closed the page out, for iphones, ipads, etc. Now all my private tabs are closing out every time I close the app. Before there used to be a section in settings that would allow you to turn this feature on/off, however it's not in settings anymore. I wanted to know if there is another way around this. I want to be able to keep private tabs open when I close out Firefox on my phone and ipad.Before I would have all my tabs available jut like regular browsing but now its cleared out evey time. Is there anyway to fix and change this?

I have several sub-folders connected to my "Inbox". How do I have specific incoming mail sent directly to the different sub-folders? I had no problem doing this prior to Thunderbird 115.1 taking over my previous edition. Tried following the instructions under Settings but it wasn't very helpful.

I manage our browser configuration for our enterprise. We use group policy to restrict browser addons until they clear our internal security review.

I'm looking for a way to allow specific addons using group policy, while generally blocking everything else.

I've found the setting to enforce the installation of addons, but we'd like to avoid forcing every addon to install on every system as there would be overlap between things like password managers and such.

Is there a way to accomplish this?

Hi! I don't like the automatically updated extensions -feature, it seems to have been turned on nowadays, it has been maybe a year or two when you had control to update them by hand! I don't like this feature and it seems to now be in every browser that I use, Firefox, Opera, Brave, Vivaldi! Is there a way to turn this function off? Maybe a commandline function or an editable thing in a configuration file! Other browser developers should also think about this! I think Firefox has been a good browser to use, I used to use Opera but changed to Firefox quite accidentally when having to install things again!

I can't paste the link I get from Dropbox to connect FileLink for Dropbox into my settings. Why not? Even when I type the very long string by hand, it will not connect. What am I doing wrong? Is there a step I am missing? I really need this feature. Thanks- Pat Stoll

It used to be that we would see - in the account tree - a number telling us how many emails we have available to read. As you would open an email, this number would automatically reduce.

Now, not only do we get this email count, but I am getting an email count of ALL the email in an account folders (Inbox, Sent, Received, etc.). I don't know who invented this, but I do not want it.

How can I go back to Thunderbird only showing me my unread emails available?

This last week one of my inboxes started to group my emails by Today, Last 7 days,Last 14 day and Older. I find no option to change that back to showing all the emails in date order like my other email accounts. The other posts on this topic that I can find are all for older versions that I don't see the commands for in my version.

I am using version 115.11.1 - 64 bit.

I have two identical instances of the Thunderbird 115.11.0 (64-bit) installed on Fedora 40 (two different boxes) They display Email preview differently (See attached pictures)

Anybody knows how to change that view? What settings?
