Thank you for your reply, yes I have gone through these settings before, but I never appear to be able to lock with a pin or use fingerprint recognition on IPhone. (Was 6s Plus, now SE 2020 - both the same out come).

Perhaps this was a typo. A pin/fingerprint is used to unlock an app or site, instead of entering a username and password.
