Can't highlight text inside a flash box
Hello! I'm having trouble highlighting text inside a flashbox. It works perfectly on Chrome and Chromium but I can't get it to work on Firefox. Here's a screenshot attached. Thanks Best, Facundo N

Hi Facundo N, unfortunately your screen shot did not upload. You can attach it to a reply: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1261775#question-reply
Hi jscher2000, Thanks for your reply. Here's the screenshot attached again. I've found a temporary solution right clicking with the mouse > select all. Still mouse scrolling doesn't work. (see second picture). It's necessary to scroll with cursor on the bar. Also, apostrophes and accents don't work. I would like to have the same functionality as on Chrome but don't know how to achieve this. Please assist. Thanks.

Can you select the text and copy this selection to the clipboard? Do you see the selected text if you move the focus from the page to the user interface (location bar)?
Sometimes only the selected background color isn't working.
You can right-click and select "Inspect Element" to open the builtin Inspector with this element selected.

Can you select the text and copy this selection to the clipboard? Yes, with the workaround I described earlier right click cursor in the box>select all>copy Do you see the selected text if you move the focus from the page to the user interface (location bar)? How to do this? Sometimes only the selected background color isn't working. You can right-click and select "Inspect Element" to open the builtin Inspector with this element selected.
I followed your suggestion but can't find out how to do this.
I've attached a screenshot. Thanks for your assistance. Best, Facundo N

I think usually Firefox will send the scroll wheel event to the element that is "under" the mouse pointer. In some cases it might be necessary to click in that content first to make sure the plugin is capturing the events. Does that make any difference?
Also, apostrophes and accents don't work.
Do you mean you press the apostrophe key and it is ignored? Or special combinations created using the apostrophe followed by another key do not get created?

It doesn't make any difference.

I managed to find the key for apostrophe is different than for the regular keyboard layout I have on my Manjaro system. I've attached a picture. The apostrophe issue has been solved.
What remains:
- 1
Unable to highlight text with mouse cursor (with workaround right click>select all > copy , works well)
- 2
Unable to scroll with mouse wheel on box.
Thanks for your reply and assistance.

Would someone be so kind as to help me solve this issue? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
I can't think of any Firefox settings related to the internal operation of regions controlled by the Flash plugin.
Were you able to copy/paste/scroll in other versions of Firefox -- is this a new problem?
thanks for your reply jscher2000. Yes, I've had it working in the past. About a year ago. I switched from Chrome recently and I don't remember on what version of Firefox it was. I'm going to try on my virtualbox machines to see if this changes. Is there some way of editing the code in the inspector to make these changes? Thanks Best, Facundo
The Page Inspector tool can't see inside the loaded Flash content, you only see the HTML tags in the page.
Can you use a VM to run the Extended Support Release of Firefox 60 for comparison? You can download it here: https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/organizations/all/
Thanks for your reply and support jscher2000. I've tried ESR 60 on windows 10 virtual machine and it worked fine. I tried it on my manjaro and debian based linux OS systems and it doesn't work. Is it possible that there is a difference between Flash player versions for windows and linux? Any ideas on what might be causing this for Linux systems?
I look forward to your reply.
Thanks.
