Hello, I have one Android phone with Firefox and many, many tabs open in it. I am going to migrate to another Android and would like to have all those tabs open on the new device. I googled and found Firefox sync. Tried that but on the new device all the tabs are visible in a list of tabs from the other devices but they are not opened ! I would need to go through all of them and then open each (too many to do that manually). Is there any semi-automatic way of having all the tabs from the old device opened (as tabs) on the new device ?

If there is no such way I can alos try low-level solutions i.e.: that requires accessing both phones over USB and copying particular files.

OVER THREE YEARS PEOPLE HAVE BEEN DEMANDING THIS. When I tap a link in an app, I want it to open IN FIREFOX. Not some custom tab. Not some special pseudo in-app environment. IN. FIREFOX. EVERY OTHER browser on Android can do this. Don't give me some BS answer about removing Firefox as my default browser, either. That causes it to either open in the app I'm using, or the phone's built-in browser, NEITHER OF WHICH ARE SECURE. If you really care about security, like you're trying to sell us you are, you will fix this yesterday.

Is there a way to search through my open tabs? If not, PLEASE create that feature.

Also, is there a way to see the previous pages that have been opened in a tab? Right now, I have to just keep backspacing through previous tabs hoping to find the one I'm looking for. If not, please ad d a way to view and select previously opened tabs before I start backspacing through them.

Is there a way to sort open tabs, at least alphabetically? If not, that would be a very nice feature to have.

The google.com on Firefox on android is not working it displays a white screen each time I open Google.com

Hi. Why on Android if i open proton email one box in one CART tab. And then i open new tab CART and i want to open another email proton. Diffrent email but the same domian its not posible opning, only one e-mail in two tabs? Why only on Android its not work! On PC is no problem! Why?

I open a new tab (link from email or a other page usually). I read the bloody thing. I click the number of open tabs to display all open. I close the tab with the x. It goes away (closes). It gives me the option to undo. I wait until that goes away. I wait few more seconds and swipe down on the "open tabs" frame. It closes and the number says 7. It agrees with what I see open, and the visible content is from tab #7 I wait 5 minutes. I close Firefox and wait 5-10 minutes. I open Firefox... I'm up to 22 now. This has been going on for about a week (at least) now.

In the past before this started happening, occasionally if I was moving too fast it would happen, so I would go slower (I thought cache) and it would work. Now, it's ridiculous.

NOTE : there are 7 tabs I want to keep open for now... I've been trying to close all the rest for some time now!

How to access inactive tabs in Firefox for Android? In options I have set to never close tabs but an option for inactive tabs was set to 2 weeks. So I assumed that there is somewhere a list of inactive tabs that you can access and activate them.

How does one set Firefox to open a link in a new tab?

I am trying to move all the synced tabs brought in from android chrome and Firefox pc into the current active tabs I have on Firefox android.

I've only been able to get 1 at a time to move over, but I have well over a hundred open in putting the two other browsers together..

Everything I've been able to look up about it only deals either the syncing part.

And, is there a way to have am active sync? As in, I open a tab in Firefox on laptop, it opens that tab on my Firefox mobile? And vice versa.

I have a plenty of tabs accumulated in my FF on Android, v119.1.1 (Build #2015984795), 2a75e15258+ GV: 119.0.2-20231108221453 AS: 119.0.

Within Tabs menu there is Share all tabs option. When clicked, the Save as PDF, Print, and typical android sharing options are presented.

Click on Save as PDF does nothing. Sharing to other apps works partially (text list is shared, but some parts of it are not kinks but a concatenated text of tabs titles combined together, not clickable, not https:// part).

The phone has lots of tabs, many of which are deactivated.

I want to backup them and review on bigger screen, but can't do that :)

Sharing to other devices connected via Mozilla account shares only subset of tabs, not sure about the logic, the most recent ones for sure + some deactivated but not all of them.

On the mobile app for Android (Google Pixel 2 XL, Android version 11), there's this really annoying issue where tabs are constantly duplicated. Normally, it's when I search something on Google (through Firefox). It pulls up the search results, of course. But when I hit a link, here's what happens: the tab is redirected as it should be, but simultaneously another tab is opened, which is a duplicate of the original tab (the one with the search results), and Firefox switches to view that tab, tab 2. So I have to go back to tab 1 to see whatever, and usually I then close tab 2. After this, once I've been hit a few links on a single tab, caused that tab to redirect a few times, it stops doing this. I've also noticed a similar issue, specifically with Google images in Firefox. Sometimes, when I open a picture to view it, every time I go to the tab with the picture, it opens a tab of the Google images page (before I selected a picture). This will happen endlessly sometimes, every time I open the tab to view the picture, meaning I never actually get to see the picture.

Hi so few days ago I broke my phone it's now completely unusable so now in this new phone I signed into Firefox and sure I got all my synced bookmarks and all but where are my saved tab collections?? That feature is so good which is why I saved like 30 tabs in there but none of them show up after sync please help!

Everytime I open a website and then click on a URL bar, the Web content disappears and it shows the home page of Firefox instead of the web content. I have attached a photo to show what happens.

I'm having this issue with clicking on links where when I click a link it opens a new tab but the new tab contains the current page. The link I'm trying to reach opens in the tab I was originally on. I can't see anywhere in the settings a solution to this and haven't seen anyone else have the same issue. Does anyone have a fix or is this a bug?

When Adding a Shortcut to the Android Home Screen, it allows you with a pop-up option to Rename the Shortcut before placing it on your Home Screen.

However, when attempting to Install a Progressive Web App (from compatible Web App web sites), and clicking Install, it does NOT give you the opportunity to Rename the Shortcut.

In contrast, Chrome/Android allows the name change in both cases (non-Web App and Web App sites).

Is this feature in the works on FireFox Android?

Is there a work-around to Rename Shortcuts either before or after placing them on the Home Screen ?

The + button in the menu that normally opens a new tab doesn't work anymore. The only way to open a new tab is by hitting one of the buttons on the top that normally show the history. When I press the + button either nothing happens or some Chinese add will load, and that ad takes me to a jd.com link that actually doesn't load. I have tried installing a virus scanner, clearing the cache, and reinstalling, but it didn't help. I am using an oppo find x2 pro and am living in China if that helps.

This applies to the latest Firefox for Android version (this issue did not occur with the previous version). I manually closed my tabs and closed the Firefox app when I exit. However, when I open the app again, the previously closed tabs are there as if they were never closed. This is fixed if I delete browsing data but, obviously, this is not an ideal solution. I have tried to attach a short clip of this issue in action but it will not upload. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
