I was using my computer normally until I noticed one of my applications had an error. I could not close the error message the normal way, so I decided it would be a good idea to hit the "end task" on the error message, which caused a blue screen error. "No worries," I thought, "I'll be able to get back to where I was right after my computer restarts." Oh, how wrong I was. Upon logging in to my computer, Firefox opened to... the screen I got when i first installed it? As it turns out, the Mozilla folder in my AppData folder was completely erased, along with all its contents. Is there a way to get my data back?

I have created two profiles using the new functionality that is accessed using the "hamburger" or three horizontal lines menu. I want to open one profile at times, but the other at different times. I can only specify a default profile for initial browser start, or to have the browser make me choose each time. Either of these options mean that I have to go through extra steps to launch any profile beside the default. This effectively makes the new profiles less useful to me than the profile manager that has been around for much longer.

Searching for help online has led me to several suggestions to create shortcuts that use the -P "profile name" switch for each profile. This is out of date because the profiles I can access from the command line bear no connection to the ones I have created as described in the above paragraph. They are only the ones I have created using the (old) profile manager from the profile manager in about:settings.

Did I miss something, in other words is it possible to do something similar with the new container profiles as I can with the original config profiles?

I just bought a new PC, part by part, and used my storage devices from my old PC. I formatted the windows drive and am on a fresh installation of windows 11. I tried to log in to my mozilla account, but couldn't remember my password so I used the "Forgot password" function. When I logged in, no bookmarks or history was saved. Is it possible to restore my synced data?

Greetings ! For the last two days I have not been able to access Facebook or Amazon websites. When I use a shortcut or try to type in the URL, the display says something like using Google or such when I have my default set to Firefox ( And I confimed that it is set as such). I can click on a tab or reach anything else ok. Also, those two are accessible through Chrome or Edge ok on here and also on my phone and tablet.I have cleared cache and such multiple time and removed extensions. It is just those two sites on this device on Firefox. I think there was an update recently too.. Thanks for an assistance anyone can give. Cherry

I synced my data today in mozilla and after that i reinstalled windows on my PC. now i installed fresh mozilla and logged in into my account but my data is not synced... i lost a lot of open tabs,bookmarks etc... what can i do? is synced version still somewhere or what? i did everything as i supposed to do but i cant see my previous open tabs and bookmarks..

I designed a label in Avery, downloaded as a PDF and told my download to always open in Adobe Acrobat Reader. When I try to open the download I'm told that Reader can't pen because it is either not a supported file type or the file has been damaged. How can I change the program that opens my downloads? I'm using latest Firefox on a Windows computer.

My Surface Laptop 7 w/ SnapDragon Elite's Firefox installation started crashing this morning immediately after rebooting to complete some Windows updates. I have attempted starting Firefox in Maintenance mode, Uninstalled and reinstalled and I still get the crash reporter. Refreshing Firefox at the uninstall process does not fix it.

I'm running Windows 11 Enterprise edition, fully patched w/ Firefox 146.0.

The 4 Windows updates that were installed:

Uninstalled KB5072033 Uninstalled KB5070311 Cannot be uninstalled KB5072641 Cannot be uninstalled KB5071142

Still didn't fix the problem.

there is a payment methods label in settings but thats is. its just a label under it immediately comes save addresses from other articles i can see that there should be a saved cards button but i have nothing why?

Either recommend an extension/helper or do a redesign for laptops. I've seriously been looking at abandoning FF but I've been using it for so long now that the idea of learning a new one isn't cute. Three stacked banners at the top leave a pretty small area for what I want to read/do. Full screen is nice but then the bookmarks vanish. Please for the love of FSM do something about this before I'm forced to leave.

I installed Firefox yesterday, and everything was fine for a day. Today, when I play a YouTube video, the entire page freezes - I can't pause it, select text, or do anything. The page starts responding after about 10 seconds from last interaction.

Compared to Chrome, I can play 20 YouTube videos at once and everything works fine.

The problem only occurs on YouTube. Sites like CDA and Jellyfin work fine.
