why does Firefox force update during browsing.

hi, I love supporting this independent browser - I know its not perfect but it does a great job of doing most things well.

However, and there is a big but. I can be in the middle of an investigation that requires sharing data to a new tab - on opening the tab I'm blocked from going further as Firefox needs to do an update! This is really infuriating. No update can be SO urgent that you stop me using the browser. This is the Microsoft mentality, and its wrong. Can you please investigate NOT forcing users to update their browser during session.

Right-click menu items don't appear

My browser was updated automatically last night and now when you right click anything it doesn't show a bunch of the options. Hovering does not reveal the text.

There is a setting to disable updates and let me decide when to update.

That is great, but how do I disable update notifications from appearing in general?

Every time I open the browser, I get a pop up notification twice letting me know there is a new update.

keep getting notifications to update

I already updated a few weeks ago (and lost all my bookmarks, passwords etc in that process, which was infuriating) and yet every day I get a notification in the "open ap… (читати далі)

I already updated a few weeks ago (and lost all my bookmarks, passwords etc in that process, which was infuriating) and yet every day I get a notification in the "open application menu" telling me I need to upgrade. And every time I check the version of firefox I'm using, it says it's up to date (like I just did now--see the pic). Again, last time I got prompted the same way to download a new version, I lost everything. Why does it keep telling me I need to update? And how do I turn those notifications off?
