Hi, Since three or four months, whenever I log into Outlook live, either on Mac or Windows PC, I get a security warning saying that the information will not be secure (Please see attachment.) When I log into the same account, from Edge for example, I do not get the warning popup. I really enjoy using Firefox and would love to continue but this case is worrying me a bit. Any idea to help? Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch Firefox (and add Sites shortcuts) 2. Do not navigate to any website 3. Observe network activity using Process Monitor or clash verge

Expected Behavior: - Opening about:home should not establish TCP connections to remote sites unless the user interacts with them.

Actual Behavior: - TCP connections are observed immediately to sites listed in Top Sites shortcuts, even without user interaction.

Notes: - Disabling DNS prefetch, speculative preconnect, and predictor settings does not prevent these connections. - Extensions have been ruled out, I can distinguish darkreader.org(extention) mozilla.org(update) and reddit.com(your sponsor url) from *.edu.*(my shortcuts), DON'T mention that. - Connections occur before any page navigation or clicks. - I suspect that Firefox may attempt to load site icons (favicon / tile thumbnails), but this is unconfirmed.

So, after using firefox in the background to browse websites or watch videos I checked my memory usage in firefox with about:memory -> Measure and saw that youtube was consuming a decent amount >2GB (checked the main url when clicking the youtube src, it was the video on that sole tab i was watching and nothing else playing youtube in the bg) so i closed that tab, waited a bit and re-measured but then see that the memory usage for youtube rose about 200MB... and the website for youtube is that same url for the tab that i just closed (when checking the src in the results for Measure). I've been revisiting the about:memory page, reloaded it and re-Measured and youtube is STILL THERE. Even now, 10 minutes later i still see youtube there, with none of my tabs running youtube.

If i close firefox entirely and re-open my tabs then it'll very likely fix it but this has to be a major issue no? I shouldn't have to close the entire browser program just to fix a website visit, which is youtube of all websites.

As of this moment, firefox, with 8 tabs open, is consuming 4,452.99MB (~4.5GB) where 2.5GB is youtube for that page i closed.

I don't know if sharing memory reports from the about:memory page give my cookies away or leave me open to a similar vulnerability so I won't share it unless a dev or similar asks for it but for now, I've included an image showing all the tabs i have open on firefox, 2 windows.

How can I remove the moving blue ball from the tab of a frequently used website? It's distracting and hopefully not symptomatic of a problem It appeared on this new computer/monitor, used to be an icon Thanks, --Laurie

REPEATING IMAGES involving . Macbook Air M4 Tahoe 26.2

When sliding from the primary Mac screen to another on the same computer the Firefox image (and ONLY that image) is duplicated on each additional screen image loaded making the use of multiple screens virtually useless.

I am running W11 (HOME). FF is acting like I am running W10 (I keep getting info on needing to upgrade to W11).

Now to the real problem:

It appears since I upgraded FF to 146.0.1 64 bit, FF seems to have problems pulling up password/ids that haven't been used for a while. It actually can't find them as if they had never been used. The number of "passwords" it lists is rather small (like 8). This is causing me to have to go through lost password routines.

Any idea what or why this is happening?

Loading website for BacaPoa.frontsteps.com does not work, now fails ("not secured") . This is business site I have for years.? [windows 11] Is the a bypass or override I can do? JR

Help me download a new Firefox app and show me how to find my former apps. I clicked on Profiles and my previous app came up. Now how do i save it into a new app/or save it?

I am using Firefox 146.0 (64 bit), canonical-002 - 1.0 on Kubuntu 24.04.

The browser will not store credit card information. If I enter correct information into a Web site, Firefox correctly queries whether I want to save this information. Clicking "Save" closes the dialog but when I look at "Manage payment methods" in Settings nothing is saved. Attempts to enter the information at this point fail as well. Note that the check box "Save and autofill payment info" is set.

I have changed operating systems from windows to linux mint. I made sure to sync my profile before uninstalling, but now the profile looks to be empty. there are no saved passwords or bookmarks. This worked when I changed between different windows devices last year, but this time it seems stuck. I will check on a windows device when able, but in the meantime, are there any other ways to troubleshoot this?

In Firefox, I have several windows open, each with many tabs. (And BTW, I love the Firefox tab-organization feature.) I would like to empty the cache and delete all cookies. Will that close the open tabs? Is there a way to delete the cookies, empty the cache and preserve all windows & tabs?

I'm changing computers. I want to upload my browser's bookmarks to a file. Then I can clear it for the next person to start from scratch. So far, I can't find a tab to make it happen. Please help. Thanks.
