Why is it that Firefox v.14.0.1 will not allow me to Sign In to Microsoft Answers
Here is a copy of an email I sent to Microsoft Answers :- Why is it that Firefox v.14.0.1 will not allow me to Sign In? I have successfully signed in with Google Chrome v.21.0.1180.79 m without any problem, but when I attempt the same thing in Firefox the following "Sign In" message appears:- "Signing in... This page will automatically update after you are signed in. If you are having problems, you can close this message and try to connect again." Reloading Firefox and using the same Page has no effect what-so-ever.
Any ideas?
lockhands. Their retort was:- "How is this related to Windows Update?
How is this related to Microsoft?
Ask in the Firefox forums:

Is Microsoft Answers some kind of forum? Are you allowing that site to set cookies? Usually the problem with not being able to stay logged on is not having the cookie.
As far as I am aware cookies have been enabled for Microsoft Sites, although this is a Forum Help Page. The site has never asked for permission to set cookies, but as soon as I go to "Sign In" it shows the message:- "Signing in... This page will automatically update after you are signed in. If you are having problems, you can close this message and try to connect again." and the only way out is to cancel the process. The report on Cookies is shown in the attached .jpg file. Thanks,

It could be that the cookies.sqlite file is corrupt. Try moving it out of the profile, relaunch Firefox and try again. If the signon then works, you can delete the moved cookies file and you will have to sign on to your other sites again. If that does not work, you can replace the cookies file again. Try clearing the cache and the history for that site as well.
i visit the same page and got the same message except the popup blocker was blocking the sign in page from loading.
you could try using the following link to see if you can get to the login screen if it works you could add it as a bookmark until you find a solution.

I have tried your suggestions with the following results:- Removing the cookie, clearing the cache and history have no affect. Using the link from "goukix" works, but is this the final answer?
