I had to erase my laptop and am in the process of resetting it up. I used firefox prior and am trying to see if it is possible to restore all my previous bookmarks etc. I was told it automatically backed them up.

Hi elisefnesbitt,

if you've wiped your laptop, the automatic backups probably got deleted too. If you were logged in to your Firefox account and had bookmark syncing enabled, they might still be there. In that case, just log in to your Firefox account, make sure syncing is enabled, and they should reappear.

If you didn't fully erase all the data on your laptop, you can try the following:

  1. Click the menu button Fx89menuButton, then click Bookmarks.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and click Manage Bookmarks.
  3. At the top of the Library window, click on Import and Backup and select Restore.
  4. Click the date of the bookmark backup you want to recover.
  5. In the new window that appears, click OK.
