You can create an about:config pref to change the download folder.
- browse to about:config
- click the plus button on the upper left
- Name: browser.download.dir (make sure your keyboard does not insert spaces into this pref name)
- Tap the word boolean and change it to string
- enter a string with a Linux style path ex: file:///sdcard/
