My Note III is running Android 4.4.2, the Firefox is 32.0.3, reports no updates available and I am have NO addons. I have had FFxM on my Note for at least a year After I use FFxM for 10-30 minutes or if I add a few tabs, I get the following hang: I can move around the page, but: = if I page down, the beginnings of the next page are blurry and then blank = links and tabs don't work Basically, all that I can then do then is to read the page I am on.

Chrome, by contrast, which I would rather not use (thank you Google, I'd rather not have you in my pants), is bombproof, 10-20 tabs, hours of use, no problem.

Anything I can do to troubleshoot or correct this?

Try to clear the private data of Firefox to see if the performance improves. The health report is a great way to contribute to performance issues on Firefox for Android. Otherwise I would recommend a clean reinstall from the play store.

This is a typical memory problem. Happens to me as well. And crashes too. Firefox recently has an issue with a memory leak or something alike. Don't bother OP, just restart it and reopen tabs - they guys will apparently need some time to fix this, as it's been issues for few versions already.

This explains :) but does not solve :( my problem. Firefox is my trusty anvil on my PC...on my Note3 it's trusty....as a PITA

Keep less tabs open, especially those with overload of content. You might think chrome does not have this issue, it indeed does not freeze or crash, but it gets incredible slow after you open hundred tabs all with pictures of cats and moving parts. Example: scrolled 9gag for an hour, get tired of stupidy and wanna check Facebook? Restart browser in between (at least close the previous tab), otherwise prepare to stuck in the middle of your news feed being unable to move further. Again, I believe people are working on this issue, but i'm not sure how intensive.
