How to import a contact into an existing address book? contact is exported from outlook.

I have created 3 address books. I want to import new contacts into these address books selectively.

I tried importing a contact that was exported from Outlook as a v card. It worked fine except that it created the new contact as yet another new address book!

Importing contacts does create a new address book. Then just drag and drop the contacts into the book of your choice and delete the new book when it is empty.
