i cannot see my bookmarks even my impored ones when i save a bookmark it doesnt show

i cannot see my bookmarks anymore they have disapeared i tryed to import my favourites from internet explorer and it said they had imported but when i try to see them on the bookmarks there not there, and if i save a page to my bookmarks toolbar it doesnt show up what shud i do as all my favourites are in the bookmarks toolbar..

It sounds like the file that contains the bookmarks may be damaged, for details on fixing that see Locked or damaged places.sqlite - MozillaZine Knowledge Base
