text small when composing email but larger after sending (102.8 on mac)

When composing an email, the displayed text is very small and difficult to read. However if I cc myself, once the email is sent the text size is larger and more readable. I don't want to enlarge the font when I'm composing the email or it becomes a huge font after sending. How can I get the font size I write and the font size that is sent to match? I'm using Thunderbird 102.8.0 on a Mac laptop.

Cindy, we're working with you on the very issue on a separate thread. Posting it again doesn't help. Please review and make changes that are in the other thread. And please mark one solved, to get it removed from the open list. Thank you.

Sorry. I had noticed the font-size should be medium in composition in the first one, (which it already was) but was in a hurry and neglected to notice the other settings I had to change in advance.
