My settings are set to allow thrid party cookies "never" but I keep finding scores of them when I view the cookies. I'm losing patience.

Once again I checked to see if there were third party cookies in FireFox, and there were tons. I am getting tired of having to check and delete them. This doesn't happen with other browsers, and I am almost ready to uninstall FireFox. My settings are correct--"never" for third party cookies.

Carol, how old are the cookies that you discovered? There are some that never go away and are needed for a site to function. However to start over you can clear all the cookies over your history:
