I believe that Firefox had a recent update which was auto implemented after-which my entire collection of saved passwords disappeared off of my Desktop computer. Over the next couple or more weeks I reconstructed many of the passwords and was heading back to normal. Today, for unknown reason my entire collection of saved passwords have again been erased and I do not know how and assume they are not recoverable so am back to square one. On my home computer I have it set to not allow auto updates and have a Firefox update waiting and hesitate to allow it, expecting the same result there to my saved passwords. Nothing significant has been done to or with my computer in this same time period so am at a loss as to why this happened not just once but now twice with cause unknown (I am unaware of any second Firefox update in the interim which could have caused this but cannot rule this out).

Every time Firefox (on Windows desktop) updates it loses all passwords. I am able to recover them by syncing from my Firefox Android. Surely, there is a better solution than that. Is there a way to protect the passwords in a file or is there a Firefox setting that needs to be changed?

I use Proton Pass and sometimes it pops up and sometimes not. Extension is installed. But Firefox pops up to manage password while it is not activated. See image. What can I do to have reliable Proton Pass. Thanks

So, now I've followed your previous advice and reset my password. I've gotten into my Firefox account, which is nice. I've set a Passkey and a Recovery Key. Your site suggests saving the Recovery Key in a Password Manager. So, I downloaded it to do so. But, your browser won't save the pdf that it downloaded! It wants a csv file. What do I do now? Other than write it down, which I've already done, but, that didn't work last time. Both my password and my passkey were unrecognized, which is what got me here and now.

After the last upate on browser all password disappear. I can`t to create new password and browser don`t ask me to remember password. How to restore my password? It`s don`t synchronysed with browser on the other device!!!

l cannot access my saved passwords in firefox.wehn l open passwords, l am unabel to view or use my savwd passwords. please help me recover access to my saved passwords.

How to recreate issue: 1. Copy password from an entry on about:logins on Firefox desktop app (Windows 11) 2. Open Windows 11 clipboard history (Win. Key + V) 3. Password is not listed in clipboard history 4. Password CAN be pasted within Firefox browser (including separate window) and separate applications 5. Copying another piece of information overwrites the item like normal a typical clipboard tool is supposed to work; you just have to copy it again if you need it again instead of opening Clipboard History.

What it affects: - Copying and pasting multiple passwords to a document, other password manager, or etc. is simply more cumbersome. - When managing multiple logins for the moment, it's easy to get confused (Is the password I just pasted for this login, or the last one?)

Obviously this isn't a big deal, and I am more so wondering if it's a bug or if it's meant to be restricted in such a way to increase security or something.

Ich habe seit einiger Zeit das Problem, dass sowohl in Firefox als auch in der Thunderbird-SW die Passwortmanager unregelmäßig automatisch (?) gelöscht werden. Sämtliche Passwörter habe ich in einer Datei gesichert, es ist aber unheimlich lästig, wenn ich dauernd die Datei wieder einlesen muss. Auf meinem Laptop habe ich dieses Problem nicht. Beide Geräte werden mit Windows 11 betrieben.

Is it possible to add a 'note' to a saved username and password combination to a particular website? This is important in cases where (idiotic) websites require the user to have multiple usernames and passwords for different login routes/roles.
