Every day, I get multiple bookmarks added to my list that I do not want. They include, among others, things like Get Involved (there are at least dozens of these), About Firefox (again, Dozens), Help and Tutorials (many added). They clog my bookmarks on all things that access Firefox (work computer, home computer, IPhone, IPad) and the only way is to go in an delete them. I don't want nor do I need multiple versions of any of these. For that matter, I don't want even one of each added to my bookmarks. I've looked for help but unless you are a tech expert it's almost impossible to understand how to do that. I just want it to stop or I want to know how to stop it in the simplest way possible.

Video playback stutters in Firefox and Firefox Nightly but not in an external player (mpv) or Edge. Hardware acceleration on/off makes no difference. Using the latest Radeon driver 22.11.2. Most noticeable during slow pan like this https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkx7jP_XuVB7i-O6ljGHQ_NjPmEakzvD7yM

The video playback stuttering isn't new but I only stated looking into it now. No idea how long it's been like this. At first I thought it might be caused by running my monitors at true 120Hz and 60Hz instead of a fractional framerate but then the stuttering should be visible on other apps too. Switching to a fractional 60 didn't change anything in Firefox.

I run Parallels on my Macbook 14" and have downloaded both Mac and Windows verison of Firefox. In Windows verison I can close the active TAB I'm currently in by clicking on the X, however Mac version does not allow this. I must select another TAB and then close the orginal one I wanted to close.

The same is true for the refresh button, in Mac the button is not active but in Windows it is.

I'm currently testing my website using FF's RDM, I have HTML 5 video with two sources, one Webm and one MP4 encoded according to the mozilla dev pages' advice on codecs.

The video, when clicking play or the video itself, advances one frame and pauses again under all User Agents bundled into Responsive Design Mode. If I click quickly and repeatedly it will eventually play properly. The thumbnail renders properly and the progress bar indicates that the video has loaded properly.

The video works as intended on Desktop (Windows & Linux), my Pixel 4a (FF & Chrome), my friend's S20FE (One of the UAs in RDM), and StackOverflow doesn't seem to have any input on my code, so the one last thing to check is with people who know more about Responsive Design Mode.

I prefer to update Firefox manually, so in my Firefox settings, I have it set to: "Check for updates but let you choose to install them".

So I sometimes get a message when I launch Firefox saying "Update available. Download the latest version of Firefox." and I click "Dismiss"

Today, I launched Firefox (v107.0), got this update message, and clicked "Dismiss". However, when I go to About Firefox, it says "Firefox is being updated by another instance".

Why is Firefox ignoring my preference?

I just started to run FF107, I don't understand why setting the compact option, do not really make things more dense. Same goes with all the menu.

Who needs all that spacing?

I have this

menupopup:not(.in-menulist) > menuitem, menupopup:not(.in-menulist) > menu {

 padding-block: 2px !important;

}

in the css file and still no "compactness"...

Thank you.

What do I need to do to my Firefox browser to tell it once and for all that I am not American and nor am I interested in American content?!? TIA KB

Hi,

as an admin I administer O365 web-sites/consoles in Firefox. I have two accounts in Firefox: my normal account, and my admin account which has far greater rights. The problem I am having is since I have enabled the option "Allow Windows single sign-on for Microsoft, work, and school accounts" (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/windows-sso?as=u&utm_source=inproduct), I always have to confirm two times that I want my admin account to login to for example: https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/#/ Is there a way to tell FF that I want only the admin account to logon to the specified link so I don't have to select the account every time?

Thanks

Hello world! Is there any documentation explaining if FireFox Sync is the best way to merge different computers and/or devices with different logins saved? And if yes, how to use it (which computer log in first, etc). Has anybody done it and can explain if in the process entries with the same URL were duplicated or if the newer login information overwrote the older one?

I have found this question ALL OVER the internet (phrased differently) and yet, NOT ONE OFFICIAL ANSWER or an unofficial one that actually answers the question. Many well intended volunteers suggest to export and import but then again, there's no information on how the process works. (Duplication or saving Account #1 Over Account #2 or newer over older, etc). How can we get a an official answer? I am sure the coders know how their tool works... why is it so hard to help so many people in need?

For users who have been using FireFox in different computers over the years, it's a VERY REAL problem. Right now, I have to switch between my different devices when searching for passwords as I'm unsure what the Sync would do.... We should not be sorry for having chosen FireFox over other browsers... Thank you.

This is my website. I am developing a game engine however it is quite problematic that on my pc they display the old first version of the site, some error occurs and it displays a copy of the site downloaded somewhere in the memory of the PC apparently it is not very pleased. Fortunately, on a MacBook, your browser does not throw this away. how do I protect my site from firefox not displaying a page that no longer exists? I attach a photo on it of the old appearance of the site that it displays to me and I am sure that by going here (http://srv182659.hoster-test.ru/) you will not see this.

More and more websites are alerting me that they are not fully compatible with Firefox and that I should instead use Chrome, Safari or Microsoft Edge. Recent examples are Allstate Insurance and Hewlett-Packard, not exactly insignificant players in the business world.

Here's what Allstate had across their page when I was attempting to log in:

"You may not be able to use certain My Account features on your current browser. For the best experience, consider using the latest versions of Chrome, Safari or Microsoft Edge."

There have been other websites with similar messaging about Firefox. The issue seems to be growing. Is there a fix coming from Firefox or are we going to continue to lose compatibility?
