how do I post a question?

Why is there no simple way to register for the support forum? To be able to ask or reply to a question, one must first type a question, then reject all of the possible solutions, and then enter registration info, and end with the question. It's ridiculous.

Well, now that I spent an hour trying to figure out how to register to ask a question, I've forgotten the question I originally wanted to ask. It would be comical if it weren't so frustrating.
