When I visit Drudge Report, www.drudgereport.com, the page appears to open normally then goes blank in a few seconds. A video ad box appears in the upper left of the page and plays through a few ads and repeats. One of the ads is 'wochit' with cheetah cubs. The status bar shows ad upon ad furiously loading, but it never ends. Has anybody seen this? I got one result in a Google search, but no resolution. I lose control of the page and of the browser. I have to close the tab to regain control.

Any help appreciated! - Dave

It's possible the web site was hacked. Or your system.

You may have ad / mal-ware. Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.

Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.
