How do i change bookmarks to the original open with??
If i save a bookmark file with extension .json, why does it now show jibberish if i click on it in documents??

The automatically created JSON backups have a .jsonlz4 file extension to distinguish them from uncompressed backups that have the .json file extension. You can still create a normal uncompressed JSON backup manually in the Bookmarks Manager (Library) as the compressed jsonlz4 format is only used for automated backups. The compressed .jsonlz4 format is only used for the automatically created bookmarks backup. You can still create an uncompressed .json backup manually in the Bookmarks Manager (Library).
You can create an HTML backup to have the backup in a format that is more readable.
