I am an 84-year-old newbie! I have enabled 2 FA. But... when I click on Firefox in the taskbar F/fox opens and I can access all the bookmarks in the bookmark bar without any more security.

When does the 2FA come into this?

The news appleared in Indian press and it says do not use mozzila . Please advise: the link follows;

I have been using Windows 10 with Firefox browser and Google/Gmail for many months. I also have been using Norton 360 and other Norton programs for many years. A few days ago, I updated Norton Utilities Ultimate and after update ran it for standard options. Before that update, I could start Google and still be signed in and start Gmail and still be signed in. Now, whenever I close Gmail or Google, I have to sign in whenever I start Google/Gmail. I tried to get help from Norton (see attached chat printout), but they said it was not a Norton problem and to contact Google. When I researched the problem with Google, it indicated that the problem was related to cookies but did not help correct it. I tried Firefox Help and could not find any useful information. I then changed to Google Chrome browser; that works and I can start and stop Google and Gmail and remain signed in. If I go back to Firefox, I still have to sign in every time I start Google. Hello everyone! I want to see every visit on a site by date and time. But in library of history it offers me to see only last visit by date(for example if i visited a site for example x.com 200 times - i want to see every date and time of every of these 200 visits, but not only recent). How to do it?

My Firefox browser did not update with daylight savings (this is my first time being in a country with daylight savings with this PC) and now all in-browser times are an hour behind, which is already really confusing for someone experiencing daylight savings for the first time. Now that I do not have a phone, this went from mildly annoying to really messing up my day-to-day life. As a result, I researched, found and followed this question-and-answer proposed solution to my issue but it didn't work. Now, I've been pushed a step backward because I have also lost the ability to view TV shows and movies on third party websites because the player will not load and a 'Website will not allow Firefox to display the page if another site has embedded it' notice will pop up (image for reference). This is super infuriating due to the fact that my PC is older and genuinely cannot run any kind of chromium browser and Firefox is the only way I can access said third party sites. It would be wonderful is anyone had a solution for both issues; thank you!

I noticed that the shortlinks/websites on my startpage (the House icon) are placing cookies as soon as I start Firefox. Not all of them and also in a random manor. This does not happen in Private Navigation, which i almost never use.

For me this is rather strange, I do not visit these shortlinks and already being tracked by those cookies. How can this be changed?

My settings are to clear all cookies and history at closure. Subquestion: Do I need to choose Options/Close or does this also work by clicking the X in the right upperhand corner to close Firefox.

Hi I've no idea which section this should go.. I'm having an issue when a youtube channel im following sets a live. When I get the card on the desktop for the 30 min timer, I'll click it.. sometimes it will open in a new tab (usually the card just disappears), that's another problem.. Anyway.. If I switch to the new tab at the time the live should have started, it shows the counter reset to 30 minutes.. if I F5 the page it will load the live.. Is there a way to auto start the live when the counter hits zero?

When permissions are controlled in the address bar, what needs to happen for you to get an 'Allowed Temporarily' permission? Reference is made to this on the support page https://mzl.la/3zNjX3Z in the 'Use Firefox's address bar' section but it doesn't give any detail on what the 'Allowed Temporarily' option is exactly or how it happens. I didn't get the option to allow or block permissions as shown at the beginning of that page and the permissions icon automatically showed as 'Allowed Temporarily' and I didn't have the permission I wanted. What would have happened there?

I get this message from Gmail when I try to print or open in a new tab.

"Grrr! A popup blocker may be preventing the application from opening the page. If you have a popup blocker, try disabling it to open the window."

I can not find a way to fix this and did not have this problem with the previous version.

I am facing issue while downloading files in Firefox Private Browsing. Whenever I download my PDF files, as soon as I close the browser window, the files also get deleted automatically. What should I do to rectify this issue.

If I enter "na", the namu.wiki site, which I have never visited, appears as a recommendation. Even though I reset my visit history and settings, that site still appears as a recommendation. Is there a solution?

Some sort of problem deleted saved passwords on my desktop passwords on devices are saved I can tried to sync them but nothing happends. Whenever the request to save a password it is not saved on desktop.

How do I delete, remove, or otherwise disable that garbage "review checker" from the latest firefox update. It's useless, un-needed thing that I don't trust.

This one really caught me by surprise! I have an internal Django database system. Staff typically use Firefox or Chrome to access it from Linux or Windows machines. As part of this system, it uses Grappelli library which in turn uses TinyMCE V3.5.8. Specifically, in a text box TinyMCE provides advanced editing and fonting. Allows the user to embed links or images. This system was working fine on Django 2.2. My provider (Python Anywhere) retired the server image I was running on, so I updated everything to Django 4.2 on their latest "haggis" system image. Everything seemed to transfer over without any errors - at first. In fact, it was a week later somebody tried to change a font colour by clicking the popup button that opens a colour picker. That pop up looks blank! (its not, the HTML is there but without the custom CSS nothing is visible)

In developer mode on Firefox or Chrome I can see what the problem is: The popup is disconnected from the parent. The parents CSS and classes - specifically tinyMCE - is not present. So its missing the styling and JS to operate. One of the first things the popup JS does is copy in the tinyMCE and tinymce classes from the parent. But they are not there, in fact .opener is null and .parent is stripped down.

What is really weird is on my test server, where I tested everything before updating the live server, it works! The test server uses Django's "runserver" to run a very simple (unsecure) http server just to test code. Whereas the live server is locked on HTTPS.

What confuses me is I don't see any console log messages that would indicate the browser decided to "protect" me. How can I figure out what is going on? Or disable this feature for a test?

I am writing this on my Dev machine using the browser I test with, so I shall try to paste in tech info below.

Just to reiterate, in this browser I can have my test server in one tab, my live server in another tab, test server popup works; live server popup does not.
