FireFox 120 unable to update(!) on Win11 Home (recently updated) & my android 13 phone this evening. I'm using Waterfox G6.06 to be able to write to you! ERROR: MOZILLA_PKIX_ERROR_SELF_SIGNED_CERT for any site except google mail ?!

First noticed issues when using X.com on my phone (stopped loading even after 2x cold boots) I use FF Beta on it; downloaded FF full for Android & X still don't load. Still can't get FF to update itself. Tried the Installer for Win & no go. Sigh.

Firefox crashes almost immediately upon startup. Have run through each step of: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-crashes-closing-or-quitting

and while I wasn't able to get the RAM memory test application to work, none of the other steps worked either.

I have a content filter installed on this computer, that's the only other thing I can think of that is causing the issue. Help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having an issue that has been going on for some time now and it finally has me at wits end. My Account sync keeps disconnecting where I have to go through the sign in process again and again. I have searched multiple times for this issue and have seen that others have suffered from the same issue with no clear solution to the problem. I have now tried with several Firefox desktop versions including my preferred browser being Firefox Unbranded, and every single one disconnects me several times daily.

Does anyone have a solution to this issue?

Opening browser with google.com as part of my home page 'group' or open a new tab no longer signs me into google. It use to. I have already cleared my cookies and cache (pain having to log back into my usual sites). It worked for a day, but zip now. Getting ready to leave my favorite browser since the SeaMonkey days!!

Is there a way to enable using both a default pattern as well as a custom image for the background on Firefox Color? I really want to enable both but it is making me choose one or the other. Please help me do this or enable the ability to do so.

I find the new(?) "Firefox View" quite helpful but...:

I have two firefox desktop installs and one on my phone. My foxes are all set up to open with the tabs from the last session.

Expected behaviour: "Tabs from other devices" shows all recent tabs from all 3 devices (minus the current one of course).

Actual behaviour:

• On the desktop firefoxes, under "Tabs from other devices" I only see the FF-instance from my phone. Missing the other desktop install (see attached screenshot).
• On the phone, I only see the most recent desktop instance.

It seems like as if it either can handle only one mobile and one desktop install or it hides devices not currently active?

Good afternoon, Yesterday, november 22nd 2023 i was watching TV via my firefox browser at the computer and whenever i saw something i wanted to screengrab i would press print screen and then paste the image into Photoshop for further editing, but all i get now is a big black screen, not the image i had screengrabbed, this used to happen in chrome and that is the reason why i switched to firefox, because this feature still worked in firefox, but today after the update to version 120.0(64-bit) this function now also returns a black screen when pasting into photoshop. Is there a way i can use this feature again? or is this feature gone forever? This was all working okay until this update

Firefox is my default browser and I always use it to order at Tesco. Recently I have been getting an error message denying me access to view the email they sent me. The only way I can see it is to use microsoft but prefer Firefox.

I have some javascript bookmarks (basically they just insert the current date in an appropriate place in the URL and then open it. Example at the bottom).

Both just clicking on these bookmark or left clicking and "open in new tab" or "open in new window" works as expected, that is,

• the computed URL is displayed in the address bar
• and the page is displayed.

So, fundamentally the javascript bookmarks work as I expect.

Now my problem: If I put this bookmark in a folder (either alone or together with other bookmarks), left click on the folder and select "open all bookmarks" it will open a new tab for each entry and the normal bookmarks are loaded in the tab as expected. But the tab corresponding to the javascript bookmark opens, and

• displays the javascript code (and not the computed URL)
• shows a blank page

What do I have to do that "open all bookmarks" also execute the javascript?

Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a Firefox account with email1. 2. Add a secondary email2. 3. Make email2 primary. 4. Delete email1.

Expected behavior: no trace of email1.

Actual behavior: when you try to log on to firefox account with email1, it remembers this, and says to enter the primary email to log in. a la https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1388872

When firefox emails me that firefox accounts are becoming mozilla accounts, they email the DELETED email1! This is incredibly frustrating!

I'm trying to setup Firefox on my new tablet. It's installed but when I try to login to my Firefox account, I discovered that I have forgotten my Firefox password. When I access my Firefox account on one of my older PCs, I can see that the password was changed on 2021. What do I need to do in order to sign in on the new tablet without losing all my synced data? I THINK all I need to do is to sign on to my Firefox profile on one of my older PC's and say that I forgot the password which will result in a password reset. But I thinks that's OK because a new sync account will be created and then I just have to signon from all my other devices using the new password. Is that correct?

After I updated to version 120 when I open Firefox it immediately crashes. I've refreshed Firefox and opened it in troubleshoot mode. The error still occurs. I've fully deleted it and redownloaded it, still crashes. Sometimes it won't crash immediately and I can use it for a bit. I have disabled all plugins and deleted all extensions. I am still experiencing the crash. I have run an anti-virus check (Malwarebytes) and it didn't detect anything.

Youtube videos hang in Firefox. An error message comes up stating "if the video doesn't start playing, try restarting your device." Instead of restarting my device every few videos (i've already emptied cache etc) it's a lot easier to use Brave. BUT, I'd prefer to use Firefox. Is there likely to be a fix for this any time soon?

Seems like Firefox and Youtube just don't play well together.

Unfortunately, I had an issue with some software on my Windows 11 laptop, so I contacted Microsoft support. Having explained the issues in detail, the software engineer advised that he was downloading a 'Windows 11 repair key'. Actually, what he did do, was wipe my laptop of all data.

Thankfully a Microsoft engineer using my OneDrive account managed to recover everything with my apps etc, however, all my browsing history and more importantly, passwords from Firefox have gone. As I am always signed into Firefox, is there a way of recovering them, or are they lost? I had to reinstall Firefox and logged back into the account, so does Firefox keep backups?
