I received the message Access Denied Error 121 while working on my Ancestry.com page. I have always had access to Ancestry using Firefox. I tried logging off of Ancestry and logging back in. That did not fix the problem. I also made sure that Ancestry is on the Standard setting for cookies. That did not fix it either.

What do I need to do to fix the problem. I use a MAC. As I said before, I have always used Firefox for my Ancestry work because the site works better on Firefox than Safari.

i am wondering, is there a way to automatically have my posted question emailed to me? Meaning, when i post a question here, can i choose that a copy of it be sent to me? (many other sites, such as google and ebay, have this option, and it is very helpful).

I tried to upgrade Firefox on my Mac. The file could not complete because it said it was either corrupted or incomplete. I then re-downloaded another Firefox update, but can't find my browser history.

Firefox is a very private browser, and that is why I like it. But recently, when I was pairing my Android Firefox with my Mac Firefox, Firefox asked me whether I want to confirm pairing. This all worked fine, but I noticed that Firefox mentioned the home folder of the account on my mac on which it was installed to identify that Firefox instance running on my Mac. This home folder is the name of my user account, which is my actual name. So Firefox has access to and is in some sense broadcasting my actual name over the internet. I understand that this might be only viewable by me and encrypted, so not even viewable by Firefox itself let alone the public internet (and I hope my understanding is correct and this is indeed the case--correct me if I am wrong), but it was still disconcerting that "metadata" like this is floating around the internet which can easily identify someone even if he goes to great lengths for privacy.

Firefox crashes when laptop screen locks. I close my laptop, wait a bit, open it, and Firefox has closed. No error messages. Re-open browser, no error message. On wifi with a VPN

Can Imported Bookmark File, Located @ Bottom of Firefox Bookmarks, Be Deleted ?

I would like to why in 2022 in the year of our Lord do NOT have a to either export nor save our WINDOW and TAB history. Please do not reply to me with " goto Setting> General > Open Previous Window and Tabs check." That has been DONE! It is NOT a fail-safe option if you quit out the app or shutdown. Firefox will error and not remember the previous layout. Shy can there not be a proper "SAVE" browser feature so if you have important web pages open you do not loose opened windows and/or tabs, and the browser has that archive from your previous session??? It's a mindbogglingly simple request and feature which requires little RAM or processor memory. Other browsers have that simple feature. I guess I need to switch to Chrome.

Hello, Was working just fine, then cleared cookies and cache and now when I try to log onto my GoDaddy site, I get the message, "Your browser is a bit unusual. Try allowing pop-up, adding Java script. How do I fix this and what could have happened? Thx

Please either send me an email with instructions or set up a chat with me. There is a set of emails in my trash that simply won't delete. They were yesterday's trash. Today's trash works OK. I have tried everything I know to do. thanks. I am working on Firefox 98.01 for Mac.

can not remove google search engine. Mac latest. Added Duck Duck add on but it does not show up as search engine option. These other items are not to be found in fiirefox or on computer Also remove SafeSearch, SearchAssist Incognito, FileConverter Addon, SearchLock, DiscreteSearch, WebSearch, Findwide Search Engine, securedsearch

When I open settings, under "start up" are only 2 options: 1. Open previous windows and tabs 2. Always check if Firefox is your default browser

There is no way to adjust which pages open when I open Firefox. What am I doing wrong here?

Just recently, faxtone.com started popping open the downloads panel every time I save a file from there. When I traced it down... I found it hard to believe, but Firefox is allowing it to change my browser.downloads.panel.shown flag to true. This happens no matter how many times I change it back to false, and it doesn't help to make sure that browser.downloads.alwaysOpenPanel and browser.downloads.improvements_to_download_panel are false.

Does anyone know of a flag that forbids webpages from making changes to about:config?

(It also allowed the webpage to change browser.downloads.lastDir to Desktop. Thankfully it only did that the one time, and hasn't done it again since I set it to match my browser.downloads.dir, but it's still really disturbing behavior.)
