During an online transaction I get into a loop where Firefox reports "Firefox prevented this page from reloading automatically". I respond with Allow but the situation repeats. I have changed the settings to standard for this particular website, but the problem persists and appears to be the reason that the transaction eventually fails. What other settings or adjustments do I need to make to allow Firefox to automatically reload a page on a trusted site?

How to stop firefox from downloading x.htm files? I have checked "Always ask me where to save files" in the Downloads menu, for every file type available there, and it still will download x.htm without asking.

Hello... EVERY time I try to sign into my Yahoo email, I have to go through hoops to actually get there. When I click the box that says ...never ask on this device again, your system ignores it. This "Added Security" is not helpful. nor is it adding any security to anything. All you are doing is making me look for other web browsers. Google Chrome does not do this. Safari does not do this. Opera does not do this. I do not need to be contacted via text message, OR ANY OTHER WAY, to gain access to MY email account. Stop holding me hostage!!

Please tell me how to get rid of this absolutely horrible "feature."

How do I change my "saved" email Address in your browser? It currently has my very old email address: [edited email from public] @cox.net. Many websites display that old setting associated with my info/reply. In my canned responses, I can change/update my name, phone #, etc....but cannot repeat cannot change the email address. The block displays: [edited email from public] @cox.net. I have went to settings, privacy & security, etc in your application to search how I can update this Old Email Address. Your application always sends email to my correct address: [edited email from public] @gmail.com but when I reply to the site/request my response/page displays the old incorrect email. Please Please advise how I can correct this severe problem. It prevents me from donating to viable causes/programs because my reply lists my incorrect email address.....BTW I will be most most happy to donate to you guys if we can get this error corrected. It appears web sites can track my activity on their site. How do I make it so a given web site can't track me? Does Firefox have a setting that makes it more difficult to track me on a given web site? I've seen where a VPN, not sure what that is, can be of big help. How do I initiate a VPN and are there free VPN's? When I visit this particular site it states, "from your site login activity" and goes on from there what they want to do. How do I make it more difficult for a web site to be able to track my log in activity? Will a VPN solve this problem? Or, does Firefox have various accessories that can do the same thing? I know deleting cookies with this particular site does not solve the issue for me. Can someone help? Thank you.

Fire Fox has taken to auto filling my password on my brokerage account. This leaves the account available to anyone that can turn my computer on. I do not have a password saved for the brokerage account and have the company listed to be excluded. This just happened in the last few weeks.

When using the Export Logins feature to create a .csv file, the last few fields don't seem to translate into any known date-stamp format in Excel. The data seems to have relative chronological value, but I can't make sense of it in a spreadsheet.

Can a developer check this and modify the output of those fields so it's more compatible?

I have Firefox 115.1.0esr on Windows 7 desk top PC. When I try to log in to my Comcast Xfinity online account they say my browser certificate is invalid and I can't log in. Any suggestions? Thanks

So i have this win7 computer and I bought a win11 computer in Nov but never really used it cause win11 is a big giant POS!

But tonight I decided to play with it and opened fire fox in my Win11 computer only to find that my search history from my Win7 computer is on my win11 too the computer that I only started twice and haven't used in months has my search suggestions that I did yesterday on my win7 computer saved. So WTFING FFF?

Hi Everyone, My Bank has suddenly decided that ALL cookies must be allowed before letting their customers in -- a requirement with which I wholly disagree. My FireFox is set to block anything that moves, and supported by Ad Blockers and Ublock too. Is there a way in which I can configure FF to allow me into the Bank site without having to change my "secure" settings every time? I am no computer genius - so please make it simple for me.

After the extended release was installed, did the 'Enhanced Tracking Protection' setting revert back to the default setting 'or' did the 'pre-selected setting' remain the same as before the update?

Any word on floating videos ? Have been asking for several years. Any progress on that front yet ? They're making a comeback and are as annoying as ever. Have been through all Settings tweaks etc -- nothing has ever worked. One of the most annoying user problems in the world and almost nothing has been done that I can see. Others trying to Sucker me into Chrome or Edge, which they claim are perfect and totally privacy oriented.

Firefox is set to remember history, but every time I close it and re-open it, links in websites that once had purple text is now back to white, so I don't know what link I'm on, Firefox remembers this through history saved, why does it reset back to white text? Does it have something to do with bitdefender or bitdefender VPN? Can anyone else test thie out with firefox and bitdefenders full security on? Firefox is set to save everything by the way. Only started happening after installing bitdefender.

I have a Password Protection App. provided by my McAfee Virus Protection Service. I have used this service for years to pay my bills. We are senior citizens on a fixed income stuck at home, this is our only way to conduct our business. Today is the due date for our payment. So, I've seen many apps that looked like they'd be helpful one way or another. (The latest was Malware Browser Guard.) When I click to install them, I'm warned that I'll be allowing the app to read what I enter, change things, etc. When I read more it sounds more reasonable -- it sounds like that at each step I'll be asked if I give permission for the app to read or edit -- the implication being read this specific page or edit this particular entry.

So by downloading these apps am I giving blanket authority to them to monitor my every click and keystroke or am I only telling the browser that I might want them to be able to do these things, but I need to be informed first when they are actively seeking to do something so I can decide whether to allow it at that point?

I don't suppose I have any guarantee that any software I use isn't collecting my userids, passwords, sites I visit, email I write, etc. -- but when I'm specifically warned I am authorizing a program to read what I enter, etc. it gives me pause. It's one thing to not know, another to say, no problem, have at it.

I'd like to take advantage of what some of these apps purport to provide. I'm hoping for some reassurance about downloading ones from presumably reputable companies.
