why I cannot uninstall addons, tools-manage addons opens webpage to get more addons, not addon manager. (Firefox has lately really become less responsive and more stupid this is only an example maybe I need to switch to chrome?)

The page that opens is just the first in a row of pages, you can tab through using left and right buttons in the top left corner (see below). Press Right once, and you will get to the page, where your installed add-ons are listed.
