Well, I kept looking and the only answer is to put an "ad-on" in my computer, whose "security is not verified." I guess I don't want to risk that, unless you Firefox folks can reassure me.

Open the Library (ctl+shft+o), right-click the folder you want to sort and select Sort by Name.
