Settings now contains options to allow or block notifications and to block future requests. Look at the Privacy & Security page under Permissions. For a particular site you can also use the Page Info window (ctl+i) when on the site. You could look at github and searchfox for policies.json files.

How do I look for policies on my own? I know how to create the file and copy and paste the code, but don't know where to look for it. I have updates disabled which requires me to manually download the new version online, so it's kind of a pain for me to update atm. Wish firefox which just allow an easy way to disable updates but nope, they have to appeal to simpletons.

That is for group policy. What I was referring to was implementing a policy through a policies.json file

I just checked these links and I don't see the code to block notifications globally. The annoying "shot taken" crap that appears on my screen is related to a specific firefox tool that can be added to the toolbar, not a specific website. So without using a third party screenshot add on (which I tried and don't let you draw out the area you wish to capture), I am forced to endure annoying notifications that sometimes don't go away on their own. Its sad how firefox thought it would actually be a good idea to only offer the setting to disable notifications temporarily (in a hard to reach spot through the settings menu), than allowing notifications to be permanently disabled. I shouldn't have to be a computer programmer in order to surf the web in peace.

You can file an enhancement bug on Bugzilla (Firefox::Screenshots) as that is where it is currently handled.

I accidentally marked this as a chosen solution when attempting to quote. This does not work for the screenshot notifications, as they are not notifications pushed by a website. If you read my whole post you would have known that.

These links do not contain the policy needed to notifications as a whole. I only see policies to disable notifications from websites, which was already mentioned by the first comment. Why on earth is a simple preference involve such a time straining effort to impose?? It seems that this official support group doesn't actually have any advanced users that don't just regurgitate useless information like the Microsoft forum does.
