installed windows 11 on my pc. open firefox. where are all the former menu items including bookmarks?
right and left clicking on the open app menu in the far right column didn't help me. I'm only a 17-year computer professional with a Ph.D. who publishes in peer-reviewed journals. How am I supposed to guess what to do?

Was there a need to upgrade to W11 from W10? When you do that it most likely moved all W10 stuff to Windows.old and that's most likely where it's at.
Windows update deleted all my Firefox bookmarks?!?! https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1292676
After Windows 10 update bookmarks are gone and no files in Restore under Import and Backup https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1260317
The relevant toolbars may not be shown. You can right-click on the tabs bar and select Menu Bar and a setting for the Bookmarks Toolbar. Alternatively, in the 3 bar menu > More tools > Customise Toolbar > Toolbars > select as desired.
