I can't change my privacy settings to use custom settings for history as not accepted and can't browse many sites,they say cookies to enable.
I can't change my privacy settings to "use custom settings for history". I tried couple of times but it never changed.can't visit sites as they say,"enable cookies". What to do!

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).
Is the problem still there?
I tried the "start in safe mood" but still can't change privacy settings.
