Recently, my exit button and minimize button have been disappearing.
When I restart my browser, it will be there for a couple minutes only. I am on a macbook pro if that helps at all. It only recently started doing this and it's very frusterating.
They've always been in a slightly awkward place because I put my tabs on the bottom so they over lap my home and back button a bit, but I just got used to that and it had been like that for a long time now so I don't think that was the problem?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
