Thunderbird update seems to have broke authentication

I installed the latest Thunderbird update 31.7.0, Application Build ID: 20150507114201 and then I could not authenticate. I noted that after I changed, In Account Settings, my e-mail from <username>@cgcmail.maricopa.edu to <username>@cgc.edu it began to work. Is that field being validated now?

I also noted, perhaps it is cosmetic the in the Login Dialog box - Server authentication "Enter password for user" now appears as <userid>@cgc.edu@imap.gmail.com. (two @ signs). That comes from the two fields "Username" in server settings plus the "Server Name" in server settings. Seems like an odd syntax but I was able to login finally.

Right click the account in the folder pane, select setting and correct the name of the account. <userid>@cgc.edu@imap.gmail.com. is the name of the account.
