so i started getting this error a few days ago, i have pretty much the same everything on another computer of mine which has no problems.

the only thing i can think about is that i changed my computers name a while back but im not sure if that would affect this.

First looking at the two versions of sync mentioned: 1430717298226 Sync.Service DEBUG User-Agent: Firefox/37.0.1 FxSync/1.39.0.20150405003226. then later

1430717309618 Sync.Collection DEBUG mesg: POST success 200 https://sync-197-us-west-2.sync.services.mozilla.com/1.5/19109881/storage/forms This version of Firefox is migrating all the old sync accounts to the new sync servers. The change in "POST" location leads me to believe this is what is happening.

Some other errors say that there are some addons that cannot be synced or a plugin. One of these errors also had to do with Greasemonkey.

I do not know if you have just Greasemonkey installed or a particular part of Greasemonkey that might be trying to interact with sync, but I think this to be the source of the error.

Try deselecting Addons from Sync > "Sync My" and see if that error goes away. I have had a few problems with sync'ing add-ons myself, and since the prefs for many add-ons don't sync at all, I have gotten into the habit of just disabling "Add-ons" after the initial sync process is run on a new installation since I encountered that issue.

unchecked add-ons, bookmarks, and tabs. still getting the error.

more options

okay i've checked every single option by itself and im still getting the error

the only way to not get the error was to uncheck EVERYTHING which defeats the whole purpose of the sync

what the hell is going on

When you visit accounts.firefox.com does it show as logged in? This might tell if its still trying to sync to the old account.

If you open up the about:config page are these settings set to true(see the solution to the thread): https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../989056 -> one other issue might be in the meantime to set these to false, as it looks like the failed records might be because of these. however keep in mind that others are encountering issues with syncing scripts in the new sync: https://github.com/greasemonkey/greas.../2071 There is not a valid solution to this that I have seen except for a recommendation to host their own sync server: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/28.../how-to-sync-locally-hosted-greasemonkey-scripts-across-multiple-machines

And if so, are your scripts larger than 25mb (if you use GreaseMonkey in one of the profiles that is syncing) I saw this as a limitation in one of the open issues.

I will open up a new issue to see if this is a new issue.

Else starting over with the cloud might be the next step I recommend. This would mean disconnecting all of the devices first, deleting the account then signing up with a new account.

I am still trying to find some answers in the meantime, I have opened up the issue here to see if I can find out anymore information.

I am also trying to verify if those about:config entries mentioned are supported in the new sync, it looks like they are. Can you confirm that you have them enabled?

Thank you for your patience!
