I am receiving a number of emails with --_006_LNXP265MB1003788B6DD51603524D4C67A9BC0LNXP265MB1003GBRP_-- only in the body. I have no idea what this means. It is not in all emails. For example between 15.25 and 17.30 there were 28 emails containing this rubbish. Please help. This has happened on a few days. Regards Tony

For a year and few months now, I think since the recipient dropdown started showing grey on some listed entries and white for others, thunderbird seems to be often selecting contacts based on some weird criteria that doesn't work well at all.
For example if I type in Julie, yes I see Julie down the suggested list at position 3 or 4, but positions 1 2 3 seem to be completely random selections from my contacts. Since this change happened I've been trying to be super careful with trusting the position 1 offering, which used to almost always be what I was after, but yesterday I sent and email to the wrong person because I didn't check.
If this is supposed to be some great new feature of tbird (which in itself is great), can someone tell me how to turn if off?

Suddenly today I was unable to use my email. I contacted 123 support and they were very helpful. I was told that I was using an old server and they took me through the process of reconfiguration. It appears that despite the fact that I entered imap.secureserver.net it switched to a POP3 account by the same name. I have been unable to receive emails since. I have removed the account and reinstalled it but I get the message seen in the screen shot below. It appears that I am unable to remove my profile. One option would be to uninstall Thunderbird but I will loose all my current and archived emails. Iunderstand that this is not an uncommon problem. What do I do?

When I try I get the message There is not enough disk space for the operation attempted. You may need to perform a disk cleanup on your system. I have over 8GB so I don't think space is the problem. My guess is some pointers are off somewhere.

pretty sure the problem is affecting 2 emails
if reading these same emails on imap shown on windows mail we do not have a problem at all but we much prefer using thunderbird!!!!

I have a problem. Everyday thuderbird do "cataloging mailboxes" - i have 10 mailboxes and each day Thunderbird do this to random few mailboxes.
each few days he create new inboxx folder and copy to them mails - now i have 21 inboxes with duplicated mails.
Does anyone have an idea how to solve this complex problem?

I was working on figuring out an imap timeout problem (previous forum question) when I accidentally deleted the Inbox folder. No problem, I thought, cuze imap protocol will recreate that folder when thunderbird restarts. Problem is, it did, but after a period of time (10-15 mins) the Inbox and Trash (which I didn't delete) disappear. Nothing I do seems to recreate them. Message Synchronizing is on and Inbox & Trash are checked. Doesn't matter if unread emails are in there. When I restart thunderbird Inbox and Trash are back but then disappear.

I have relied on Thunderbird since Eudora bit the dust, but one aspect that has bugged me(apart from abandoning your beautiful old logo) is the necessity of going through s menu to insert a link. Today, however, when I clicked Insert link nothing happened excerpt that the program hung and I could get out of it only with the Escape key, so there was no way to inert a link. That is the first time it's happened, so I suppose it is a new bug. Please help.

When the Inbox is displayed and I delete one message, suddenly all the messages disappear. In their place is "No message found" even though the upper left of the screen shows that there are messages in the Inbox. All other folders also appear to have no messages.
The fix is to close and restart Thunderbird, and all messages re-appear. This happens at least once a day.
The program is running on Xubuntu 24.04.1. There are many message filters and the profile is around 7 GB.

Following a computer malfunction I lost AT&T email access. Their support restored access which required a password change. Unfortunately, it did restore access for Thunderbird. After several hours of trying various unsuccessful options I deleted and re-installed Tbird. Tbird required a password to access the AT&T server. I entered the AT&T Secure Key and received msg. that Tbird was installed. The Tbird display was exactly like the one I had before re-installing it. There were a few emails displayed along with the Contacts list. However I could not receive or send any emails. I tried entering the Secure Key and the new AT&T password to log in without success. Computer was turned off for the night. On restarting this A.M. the Tbird screen no longer displayed. In its place is the error msg. to check logs or run SXStrace (screen shot attached). Neither option is of any value to me since I do not know how to interpret the information in the log nor do I understand the SXStrace syntax.
I am able to login to Tbird using the Secure Key on a different computer. Tbird will receive but not send emails. I have checked the SMTP setting and it is correct.

Initially Thunderbird works normally, but then, after a while (sometimes a few minutes, sometimes longer) "No Message Found" appears if I try to look in any folder. The only way out of this is to close and restart Thunderbird. Running v.128.3.1esr (64 bit). Also, minor issue, this version is slower to start. Previous versions of Thunderbird worked flawlessly. System: Intel i7-600 @ 3.4GHz, 32Gb RAM, 64 bit, Win10 Pro, Build 19045.5011. Thank you.
